🤩 Beautiful front door transformation 🤩

Customer contacted Q-Dec wanting to revive their front door and bring some life back to the entrance of their home.

As this was the original door installed with the house dating back to 1860 😱 it was in need of some tlc after years of just “giving it a lick”.

With the age of this door it had amazing character and the customer didn’t want to lose that, so with some consultation between us we decided to not completely strip back the door and not get rid of every imperfection as each one has their own story somewhere along the line.

Our regular process of removing heavy paint build up, sanding starting from a very low grit right up through too 500grit and some light filling, we ended up with this front door truly getting a new lease of life 👌🏼

Is your bathroom ceiling flaking? 😱

Bathroom ceilings flaking is a common problem we come across regularly this can be due to a number of factors but with this method we can achieve a long lasting durable finish,

Firstly you need to scrape and flake off any defective paint until you get back to a solid edge.

Next you will want to get sanding, sanding with an extractor will help minimise dust but not essential if you’re just doing some diy.

After sanding the ceiling you will want to apply a coat of Zinsser Guardz, Guardz is a specifically made primer for porous surfaces which helps bind and prepare the surface for painting.

Lastly you will want to get yourself some Zinsser Permawhite, yes it is dearer than your normal standard white paint but that’s the point, Permawhite has been specially formulated to be used in areas that are prone to high moisture levels like bathrooms and kitchens, using Permawhite will ensure a durable,washable finish that is resistant to cracking,peeling and blistering. 👌🏼🤩
