🎄I am making the most of the great light in the moho, and am sewing samples for our Christmas in July Patchwork Retreat on Saturday 4 July. 🤶

This year we are going to make a hand sewn wallhanging using foundation piecing. 🧵

What a lovely relaxing day we had on Saturday with Tanya, who not only lead us in some Slow Stitching, but also showed us how to do Pilates (see last pic) lol.
It never fails to amaze me how we all start with the same idea but everyone then goes off in their own direction.
I can’t wait to see the finished results.
Edit…. I forgot to say that all profits from the day are being donated to Childrens Heartbeat Trust to say thank you for all they have done for Harry, and Tom.

A little reminder for everyone who is coming to the slow stitching class on Saturday.

Thr only things you need to bring with you are needles, scissors and your lunch, everything else will be provided. However if you have some sentimental pieces of fabric, ribbon, lace, buttons, please bring those too.

See you 10.30am for coffee and scones.

Tanya will be showing the relaxing technique of slow stitching, and Fiona will be running the crochet group.

Today’s worshop was all about Log Cabins, both patchwork and crochet.
Lots of different colour combinations made for very different effects. I am really looking forward to seeing all of these as finished quilts.

List of fabrics etc for small Log Cabin Quilt workshop on 7 February.

1 fabric for centre blocks
At least 6 light coloured fabrics
At least 6 dark coloured fabrics

Please cut fabrics into 1.5in strips.
You can use lots of scraps as the smallest piece needed is 1.5x1.5in, and the largest 1.5x 6in
Sewing machine, neutral thread, basic sewing kit, travel iron and mat (if you have them).
