🦆 Something a little different from our usual foam, paint and cosplay posts…
We wanted to give a little shout-out to The Quack Shack , a local bird rescue and rehabilitation sanctuary based here in Norfolk.
Earlier this year, some orphaned ducklings unexpectedly came into our care after their mum was sadly hit by a car. We looked after them until they were old enough to no longer need a heat source, and then wanted to make sure they went somewhere they would be really well cared for.
That somewhere was The Quack Shack. ❤️
One of the ducklings had a slightly wonky beak and became known to us as Sqwonk. She has since firmly found her way into their hearts, acquired the rather more respectable name Ziggy, and judging by this photo, is doing brilliantly. 😂🦆
The Quack Shack takes in injured, abandoned and unwanted birds and is completely self-funded. As a small independent business ourselves, we’re big believers in supporting local, particularly when people are giving so much of their own time and money to do something genuinely worthwhile.
So today, we’re using our little corner of Facebook to give them a shout-out. ❤️
If you’d like to support their work, their fundraiser is here:

Support local. Support the people doing good things in our community. 🦆❤️
