A year ago today our cheeky wee Lola passed at 18yrs old having ignored her cancer diagnosis at 16 (given weeks to live).
I didn't feel able to post about it at the time.
I had never had my own pet before. She was the sibling of choice that my only child grew up with.
She had around 10 nic-names over the years. We made up silly songs about her and she loved being sang to!
My only animal portrait.
She will never be replaced, our one and only, wee bu**er of a darling girl.

I'll be selling off a few older works soon at greatly reduced pricing to clear Studio space for new collections.
I'd love your ideas on who's eyes a piece like this should be in front of! It's a little different from my usual work, but deserves a home, I feel!🤪
Any thoughts? It's beautifully professionally framed quirky and would suit another artist/writer???

This piece was the first time I painted over collaged canvases. A nerve-wracking experience as a I wouldn't be able to rectify mistakes...so a slow process with furrowed brow and my tongue stuck out in concentration more often tham not!🤣
I love the results and experimenting with collage/mixed media possibilities!!
