ART IN THE PARK is back at , opening this Saturday 6th June, running through to 12th July.

My CORAL DUSK is there, along with some 90 odd other works. It’s a really cute day out, and you can combine it with a park trip and a coffee.

Enjoying the slightly cooler weather yesterday and the last day of half term with a few delivery errands in the morning and a trip to the woods with my boys and the dogs in the afternoon; then we all finished off the day with a little painting- the boys creations are amazing! So lovely to see them enjoying making art too.

This one has been on a bit of a journey. It started with an idea of a stormy sky, but there wasn’t enough colour for me. I introduced the deep dark purples. I sat with it for a while — all deep shadow and heavy colour.

And then something shifted and I started lifting it, lightening it, layer upon layer, letting the pinks and mauves and that soft sky breathe through.

The dark is still there if you look — in the purples, in the depths of the foreground. But the light won. 🌸✨

My sister sees wild Meadowsweet in the foreground, fiery wildflowers. What do you see? 👀
