I visited Grange Farm Flower Meadow today and picked my own wild flowers. šŸŒø

As I wandered around the meadow, surrounded by all the beautiful colours, textures and shapes, I found myself thinking about all the inspiration I had for new paintings.

Thereā€™s something so special about being surrounded by nature and seeing all those little details that you might otherwise miss. Iā€™ve come home with a handful of flowers and lots of ideas for upcoming paintings. šŸŽØšŸŒ¼

Too cold & tired, too hot & bothered!
Iā€™ve definitely been using these excuses for the lack of motivation Iā€™ve had with my art recently. I donā€™t know why I put pressure on myself that I need to constantly be making work. Itā€™s definitely easier to keep up a continuous flow but lately Iā€™ve not been in the right mindset to get creative.
Usually itā€™s a lack of inspiration when I feel like this but I have so many ideas Iā€™m just struggling to feel in the mood.

I think itā€™s so important to ā€˜celebrateā€™ small wins. I have a more positive mindset when I recognise progress and it helps reduce my stress levels.
Itā€™s a great motivation for my art and day to day challenges. Iā€™ve learnt that something is always better than nothing.
I created a series around this and named it ā€˜Celebrationā€™
There is now a total of six paintings in the collection. šŸ„°
