What are you up to today?

This change in weather is getting me back in to baking again, after months of it being way too hot in the kitchen...

I'm actually here for it and ready to embrace cosy season now 🥰

🍎 c r u m b l e s e a s o n 🍎

From the tree to the table 😋 We have had the BEST harvest of apples this year so homemade crumbles are a going down a storm in our household at the moment.

Do you like crumble? And if so, do you like it on it's own or with something? I love it with custard and Steve likes it with vanilla ice cream.

I planted two apple trees in our garden a few years ago and sometimes one will perform better than the other but they have both been amazing this year.

We have a Cox's Orange Pippin and a Worcester which make good pollination partners as they are both from group 3 - when I was choosing trees I didn't know what I was doing really but my Mum advised me that these would work well together and she was dead right! 🍎

We've had a lovely couple of days squeezing the last drops out of Summer. The weather has been perfect, 25°c with a nice breeze. How is it where you are?

I can't believe the kids go back next week 😭

I can't believe we've been back from our hols for almost for a week...is it me or has this Summer flown?

I'm keeping it simple with one still today, I've posted so much of the garden recently so it feels strange having interior content!

Postcards from France 🇫🇷

Hi everyone 👋 How are you? Happy new week 🤍 Back to reality for us today after a lovely holiday in our favourite part of France.

The planting on the campsite we stay on is absolutely stunning - everywhere you turn there are beautiful flowers and trees immaculately cared for 🌸

The beach is the best one ever, miles of white sand and clear waters...the waves are definitely not for the faint-hearted!

It's so nice being close to nature and Ollie loved finding some rare birds on the Merlin app. We saw loads of cute little Lizards running round, and even some Turtles in the wild at the local nature reserve.

Back to our scorched grass here now and busy trying to revive some of our plants. We've had a few spots of rain today but nothing much - what about you?
