I had an amazing weekend at Swarkestone Garden Centre. It’s a wonderful place without the Fairs but with so many great stalls at their Autumn Fair it’s even better.
Sold my art to some lovely people. It’s so rewarding to an artist when someone loves your art enough to want it in your home. Especially the couple who bought from you last year and bought again on Saturday.
It’s also lovely how many cards went and requests for commissions.
I have gaps but not sure how many I’ll be able to fill these next couple of weeks for my last fair at the Garage on 25th, my favourite place ❤️.Then into recovery from the operation on the 30th 🙄

I’m so looking forward to Saturday and Sunday at Swarkestone Garden Centre autumn craft fair this weekend 10th/11th.
I’ve been busy rebuilding my stock after the outstanding success at The Garage. So acrylics and oils have been in full flow. 6 packed and added to those left. I drying, 1 needing touch up and hopefully the other 2 finished.
I’ll put their poster up tomorrow.
Then one more fair at the Garage on the 25th before my first operation on the 30th.

Well a month off, no fairs, no painting, no drawing, I’m bereft!!!
But I did have a wonderful holiday and rest and geared up for the year to come. 2/3 operations in the offing; I’ll know about the 3rd next week.
So I’ve started painting yesterday! 1 completed, 2 very nearly there. Complete changes and some recycling!
Lots of inspirations from photographs on our journey.
You know how I love trees! Look at the colours in these, the beauty of the landscapes and the reflections in the lake. Can’t wait to incorporate some of these ❤️

Well what an amazing 4 hours at The Garage, Chilwell today. I was so glad I managed to go. It’s always a great event there, so well organised, wide range of stalls, buzzing atmosphere and the most lovely people you could meet, staff and customers.

Just to make my day 12 of my original paintings went to some of these lovely visitors. I’ve never seen my stall so empty by the end. It is so rewarding to an artist when people enjoy your work.
The huge benefit of today is that it’s left room for me to sit and fill the large hole!
It’s important to me as I’m due 2 maybe 3 major operations and lengthy recoveries. This will be my saving grace over the months ahead.
I don’t know if I’ll make the next fair but as soon as I have a date for the first op I’ll start listing available paintings and any-one interested we can arrange viewing/collection/delivery.

Yes I’m not on the job of posting at the moment. Medical issues increasing with 2/3 major ops on the horizon over the course of this year so bit of a struggle going on here. (Spinal fusion, total reconstruction of the knee, after 6 ops, and throat op looking strong possibility now). Going to be a long year.
However I’ll attend what events I can and in the meantime I’ll do reminders of what I have available. Thank you for following and your support.
