THE CURATED COLLECTION.

In honour of the new season, I am entering a new chapter of my little business journey.
(*Hint*Not entirely new, but new for me*)

Launching 01 October 2025, a new way of doing things around here and hopefully the start of something that will continue to grow and evolve as I figure out a way to get all of my ideas out of my head and into reality πŸ˜‚

The countdown is on...

NEW SEMESTER, NEW ME.

As the new Semester is approaching and I start my new course, I of course had to get some new stationery and a new laptop bag 🀣 I am still as obsessed with these custom linen project folders, perfect for storing plans and samples, as I was when I got them earlier in the year and have been having a sort out in anticipation of all of the newness so that I can feel as on top of everything as I can!
I am so excited for the cosy autumn nights and have just listed a load of bits on vinted in anticipation of the autumn wardrobe coming out πŸ˜‚ it feels like a bonus New Year with lots of good things happening πŸ‚
Is anyone else as excited for the new season?!

DARK AND MOODY.

To date, this is probably one of my favourite schemes. The colour palette came from Tim's artwork that he was gifted by a friend, as we looked through his collection, I fell in love with the moody harmonious colour palette. Perfect for adding depth for a primary bedroom, we played with tones of teal blue, aubergine and dusky pink with patinaed brass that pulled all of the colours together. The walls were painted in this beautiful dusky teal and we opted for a deeper, more intense teal for the woodwork and existing drawers for a subtle contrast.

If you know me, you know that I love mixing old and new pieces for that timeless, lived in look with a contemporary twist and had the best collection to build a scheme around!

The stunning statement light juxtaposed with the traditional wooden bedframe adds an unexpected edge and we had curtains custom made to lift the darker elements. We finished the scheme with his other artwork and some fine metal bedside tables to bring balance to the solid furniture within the room and styled the bed with a mixture of textures in the velvets, devorè, linen and cotton.

Have you got a piece that you would love to incorporate in your room, but don't know where to start? Get in touch to see how I can help!

SNEAK PEEK.

This playroom was inspired by the family's love of Africa, they had named their dog after the safari park that they went to for their Honeymoon and their youngest daughter had a LOT of stuffed animals to style with so I curated her collection to display.

The room had to work for 2 sisters with an age gap of 6 years so it was a balance of fun, but sophistication to create a space that would work for them both for years to come.

The extension was not being utilised at all so we opted for a palette of complimentary greens and created another bespoke piece of furniture to house all of their games, toys and wall mount a TV for them to have their own space. We incorporated their existing piano and added additional lighting in the ceiling pendant and hanging monkey light for both practicality, effect and ambience. We also added a custom roman pom pom blind so that the girls could use the space at any time of day throughout the year. This is also on the list for photographs so watch this space to see the full scheme!

SMALL, BUT MIGHTY.

I completed this project in a strange dining space that led to the client's French Doors in their kitchen. It was empty and unused, until I called round for an initial consultation to discuss redesigning their playroom and they mentioned what a difficult time they had been having to get everything to fit, and work for their family of 4!

We painted the walls in a warmer neutral in 'Pablo' by Coat Paints and went bespoke- creating a rich green leather banquette seating from the lovely in and custom walnut dining table. We then finished it off with statement wall lights that act as wall art when both on and off- and a cluster pendant.

They now use this space every day when working from home and I have actually had a client off the back of their zoom call- someone messaged them privately to say that they loved their lighting πŸ™ŒπŸ˜‚ Small changes that made a big impact on both the look and feel of the space.

More photos to come when I eventually get these photo shoots booked in! The to do list as a small business owner is never ending, but I will get there πŸ™ˆ

They have recently enlisted my help with their eldest daughter's bedroom which will be the 4th space in their home that I have worked on as we are making our way through the house! πŸ˜‚

THROWBACK THURSDAY.
Another day, another project that hasn't yet made it to the grid!

From the light and airy master bedroom on my previous post to the warm and cosy Study here. I used the terracotta colour in the tiles out of the living area to inform the colour choices and leant in to the fact that this room doesn't get much natural light by opting for a rich, earthy tone all over the walls and woodwork, including the radiator as we didn't want that to be a focal point. We kept the amazing original fireplace as is and dressed it minimally to let the architecture speak for itself and pulled in the black in the overhead lighting.

We layered textures and tones, as opposed to clashing colours, incorporating bespoke linen curtains, repurposed wooden chest coffee table, chenille sofa, mohair throw and leather footstool as well as a mixture of brass and rattan in the lighting and ceramics.

I curated the artwork and artefacts from the clients own collection from their travels as I wanted to design a scheme that he felt showed them off and surrounded him with memories, as well as create a space that he would enjoy playing music and writing in. Subsequently wrote two books in this space, so it just goes to show the power that your surroundings and Interior Design can have on your productivity and wellbeing!

This colour palette feels perfect for the cosier autumn nights moving in.

FLASHBACK FRIDAY.
I found these behind the scenes photos on my phone and realised I had never shared them 🀣 I read an article yesterday about progress over perfection and I am definitely guilty of thinking 'I will share when it's perfect' but then I never think it is so I never do. πŸ™ˆ

This was the primary bedroom scheme that I created bespoke wardrobes and an upholstered headboard wall for, in order to create the uncluttered boutique bedroom my client was hoping for. The artwork that you can see in the mirror was the inspiration for the ochre accents within the neutral scheme and informed the design decision to create the headboard as a way to display them. As they wanted it to feel 'light and airy' I opted against picking out all of the other colours and chose a more tonal palette instead, warmed up by the brass and gold accents. Of course, we colour drenched in Portland Stone Pale for a cocooning, high end feel and we created a little dressing area next to the en suite to maximise the floorspace. I then styled the headboard with vintage and antique pieces sourced from France for the global traveller influence that we wanted to incorporate, as the artwork was from their travels in Ghana.

This is the third room that I have completed for this family so I wanted to ensure that it was cohesive with the other spaces and provide them with a sanctuary for them to retire to after working at their stressful jobs all day!

There is a little hint in here as to what it is that I have been working on recently...
