Magnificent Antique Victorian Carved Oak Dresser – Circa 1890–1910

Hewetson, Milner & Thexton Ltd – London

Reportedly from the Hennessy Estate, Rye, East Sussex

A magnificent late Victorian to Edwardian carved oak dresser, displaying exceptional craftsmanship and intricate detailing throughout.

Designed in the Jacobean Revival style, this impressive piece features beautifully carved floral panels, decorative borders, barley-twist supports and an elaborate shaped crest.

The dresser bears a brass retailer's plaque inside a drawer for Hewetson, Milner & Thexton Ltd, historic London house furnishers of Tottenham Court Road.

Traditional dovetail-jointed drawer construction and a beautiful warm oak finish add to its character and quality.

Of particular interest is its reported provenance from the Hennessy Estate in Rye, East Sussex, adding an intriguing connection to its history.

The dresser separates into two sections for easier transportation.

A wonderful statement piece for a country house, farmhouse kitchen, period dining room or traditional interior.
