Beautifully considered, beautifully practical.

A dressing room should be so much more than somewhere to store clothes. It’s a space where thoughtful design makes everyday routines feel just that little bit more special.

In the master suite of our Cotswolds country house project, we designed bespoke joinery to create a dressing room that feels calm, elegant and entirely at home within its surroundings.

Beautifully crafted by , the cabinetry and walls are painted in “Sand V” by , creating a soft, seamless backdrop.

Elegant hardware from adds a refined finishing touch, complemented by wall lights from and a mirror from .

At the window, a blind in “Ziri Mineral” by introduces gentle pattern and texture, bringing warmth to the beautifully tailored scheme.

For us, the luxury of bespoke interior design lies not only in how a space looks, but in how effortlessly it works for the people who use it.
Practical, personal and designed to stand the test of time.

A home collected, not decorated.

We’ve always believed that the most beautiful interiors are those that feel as though they’ve evolved naturally over time.

In this quiet corner of our Cotswolds country house project, an antique French painted bureau sits alongside a giltwood salon chair dating from circa 1860. Pieces with their own history, bringing character, warmth and a sense of individuality to the space.

The chair has been thoughtfully reupholstered by Westcote Design in “Solis” by Colefax and Fowler and “Misa Moire” by Marvic, giving this beautiful antique a new chapter while respecting its original character.

Underfoot, “Kathmandu” carpet from timpagecarpets adds a gentle layer of texture, allowing the furniture and decorative details to take centre stage.

For us, English country house interiors are at their best when old and new sit comfortably together — creating homes that feel personal, timeless and wonderfully lived in.

It’s these thoughtful layers that make a house feel like home.

A guest suite designed to make you want to stay a little longer…

One of the final rooms on our tour of this Cotswolds country house, and a lovely example of how much thought went into every part of this family home.

For the main guest bedroom, we wanted to create something generous, comfortable and full of character — a room that feels considered in its own right rather than simply an extension of the rest of the house.

The starting point was the beautiful “Front Waltz” wallpaper by , layered with the softer tones of “San Luca Strie” by through at the windows. A bed from , bedside tables from and lighting from and complete the room, with the ottoman upholstered in “Zeus” by .

The ensuite has a quieter character of its own. We restored the existing claw-foot bath and paired it with “Parisian Chic” floor tiles from and “Lume White” wall tiles from

The bespoke vanity was made by with a top from , alongside brassware through and lighting from and

Two individual spaces, designed to feel completely at home together — and a guest suite we hope would make it rather difficult to leave.

A change of view.

Stepping outside for a moment from our Cotswolds country house project.
One of the joys of a country home is the relationship between the house, its outbuildings and the landscape around them. Here, the pool and pool house create a wonderfully relaxed part of the property — somewhere designed for long summer days, entertaining and family life.

Our involvement in the pool house itself was intentionally light, helping with a number of the interior decorative details and finishing decisions so that it felt connected to the character of the main house without becoming overly coordinated.

And perhaps that’s the point: a home doesn’t need every space to look the same. It simply needs to feel as though it all belongs together.
Next, we’ll be heading back inside…

A little bit of gold…

For the master bathroom in our Cotswolds country house project, we wanted to create something luxurious without losing the warmth and character found throughout the rest of the house.

The extraordinary brass bath from became the natural focal point — its warm, reflective finish sitting beautifully against the quieter backdrop of polished Calacatta marble, sourced and installed through .

Brass fittings from continue the warmth through the bath and shower, while beautifully understated shower doors from allow the marble to take centre stage.

Overhead, the delicate ceiling light from adds a final layer of softness and glamour.

A master bathroom designed to feel indulgent, timeless and completely at home in its Cotswolds setting.

A room of her own.

Designing bedrooms for two teenage sisters in our Cotswolds country house project gave us the opportunity to create spaces that felt connected to the same family home, but entirely individual to the girls who live in them.

For our clients’ 16-year-old daughter, we created something a little more grown-up — calm and sophisticated, but still with colour, pattern and personality.

Bespoke joinery, designed by MIDA and made by , provides generous storage, while the window seat creates the perfect spot for friends to gather.

The bed, made by Robert Langford in ‘Hockley Eden’ by Romo, Fabrics & Wallcoverings, brings soft greens and blues to the scheme. Curtains by The Boys Who Sew and a blind by Blind Fashion | Bespoke Window Solutions, both in ‘Florence’ by Harlequin, soften the beautiful Cotswold window.

The adjoining ensuite completes a suite designed not only for who she is now, but for the years ahead.

Collected, not coordinated.

Some of our favourite moments in a home happen when pieces from completely different periods and places find themselves sitting happily together.

Here, an English chest of drawers dating from circa 1810, sourced from BLANCHARD COLLECTIVE, provides the wonderfully characterful foundation. Above it, botanical prints bring a lighter, fresher note, while an antique Chinese cloisonné lamp and shade from Indigo Asian Antiques adds that unexpected hit of turquoise blue.

Finished with an orchid from Burford Garden Co. and carpet from timpagecarpets, it’s a small corner of the house, but one that says a great deal about how we like interiors to feel.

Layered, personal and collected over time — rather than perfectly coordinated.

A room to grow into.

When we designed this bedroom for our clients’ 13-year-old daughter, pink, silver and white were her chosen colours — our job was to translate them into a room that felt right for her now, but sophisticated enough to grow with her.

There was one other important request. Both daughters wanted generous window seats where friends could pile in and spend time. Here, we took that idea a little further, designing a window seat large enough to double as an occasional spare bed — with plenty of useful storage tucked underneath.

Soft pinks are balanced with silvery greys, aqua and warm neutrals, while bespoke joinery gives everything its place. The bed from French Bedroom, re-covered in ‘Hopper Pink’ by Colefax and Fowler, brings a gentle hit of colour without making the room feel overly sweet.
And beyond the bedroom? A dream ensuite and dressing room of her own. ✨

For us, children’s rooms should have personality, but they should also have longevity. This one was designed not just for a 13-year-old, but as a space she could make her own for years to come.

Beautifully hardworking.

The rooms that work hardest in a home deserve to be beautifully considered too.

For the laundry room at our Cotswolds country house, we designed bespoke joinery to make the most of the space, creating generous storage and practical working areas while keeping the room feeling light, calm and full of character.

Made for us by , the cabinetry is paired with a wonderfully graphic tiled floor from Ca’ Pietra and softly textured wall tiles from Original Style | Tiles to Inspire. Brass details from Armac Martin and Samuel Heath add warmth, while the traditional Kitchen Maid Victorian airer from Cast in Style | Ironmongery 🇬🇧 is as useful today as it would have been generations ago.

At the window, a blind in ‘Manningtree’ by Osborne & Little introduces pattern and colour, softening the practical elements of the room and giving it a personality of its own.

Because everyday chores may be unavoidable. Doing them somewhere beautiful certainly helps.

A guest room with a story to tell.

For this Cotswolds guest bedroom, we wanted to create something that felt comfortable and welcoming, but with plenty of character.

The delicate ‘Gabrielle Stripe’ wallpaper from SCHUMACHER UK | since 1889 gives the room its quiet rhythm, creating a wonderfully understated backdrop for a more eclectic mix of pattern and texture.

At the centre is an antique headboard, layered with textiles from Lewis & Wood and William Morris Collection®. We love the way the different patterns sit together — botanical, decorative and striped — each quite distinct, but united by their beautifully muted palette.

Curtains in fabric from Barbara Osorio Fabrics, finished with braid from James Hare, frame the original stone window, while the rug from Amy Kent Rugs brings another gentle layer of pattern underfoot. Bedside tables from Robert Langford add a cleaner, more contemporary note alongside the antique pieces.

It’s a room that feels as though it has evolved over time rather than been decorated all at once — always something we strive for in a country house.
