Well, this made my day yesterday - the lovely Julie Hyslop, Designer Jeweller is very kindly telling me why she loves my Restore facial oil so much that she's upgraded from the Discovery to the full size…

This is the bit of having a small business that never gets old as you can probably tell by my squeal of delight at the end 🙈🤣 wahooooo!

🧁 THE GREAT BALERNO BAKE OFF – Calling all bakers! Bring your apple-inspired creations to the market by 10am. Our judges will be tasting the entries, with the winners announced at 10.45am! 🏆

🥧 TASTE THE BAKE OFF ENTRIES – Come along and sample some of Balerno's finest apple bakes!

🛍️ SHOP LOCAL – Browse our brilliant stalls, packed with fresh produce, artisan goodies, tasty treats and all your usual market favourites.

My day started in an epic way (if you saw my video, you'll know why) and now, I've just heard the most fabulous news.

A first for PA and I'm bursting to share but for now - I'll just have to go 'squeeeeeeeee!'

I was so captivated my experience on Sunday, I decided to do it again. A lot less moonlight (we're almost at a new moon) but the stars were spectacular, and eventually, so was the sunrise with added cloud inversions.

What a beautiful way to start the day 😍

Well… this could go one of two ways. 😂
After years of working myself into the ground every Christmas, I've decided that 2026 is the year I try something different.

Less working harder, more working smarter.
And more crystals (let's face it, I love a bit of 'woowoo' and don't need an excuse on that score 🙈)

🧠 Keep my sanity
❤️ And, unlike last year, arrive in January with at least half of myself still functioning .

I can't stop reflecting on this experience, even a few days on. My vision was limited but my other senses were heightened and without any artifical light or distractions I was fully present.

I have no idea what made do this (normally I'd get a cuppa and read my book until my alarm) but this sudden realisation that things will be revealed in their own time - I just need to keep showing up and moving forwards and trust in the bigger picture.

It's been so profound I'm already planning for more nocturnal excursions. Anyone else do this...?

Blue may have thought this was an all you can eat woodland buffet but I still managed to gather plenty of these today.

They're for a little festive something that I have taking shape behind the scenes. All will be revealed in due course 😊
