Working away at building this collection 🖤

I'm going to start bringing in some pieces that aren't food-based too, because for me, it's not just about what I'm painting, it's about the texture, the surface and how I can bring it to life. I'm all about the shiny things

The aim is to keep developing, pushing myself, improving and building a collection of work that I'm proud of and ready to take out into the world at art fairs and exhibitions.

It's all a work in progress, but that's the exciting bit!

She's nearly there!!! 😄

I'm so glad I put this piece to one side and came back to it. I was genuinely considering chopping it down, but something made me leave it alone for a while.

Sometimes you just need a bit of distance to see a painting differently. I've been slowly working away at this one, making little changes here and there, and I'm finally getting to the point where I'm really happy with how it's coming together. There's still a little way to go, but we're getting there!

Well! What a fantastic week, and it’s only Wednesday! 😄

The Pier Magazine launch party was fantastic. I met so many wonderful and talented people, and it was an absolute pleasure to be part of it.

And then I sold three paintings… THREE! 😄🎉

One is staying local, but the other two are making their way across the pond to the USA! 🇺🇸

Feeling very grateful and very excited about what’s to come. 🖤

I need to make a bit more space in the studio, which means a few of my older paintings are looking for new homes!

I'm letting these go at special clear-out prices:

🖼️ A3 originals: £150

All are original paintings and will be mounted ready to pop straight into a frame.

If you've had your eye on one of these for a while, now's your chance! Once they're gone, they're gone, and I'm not planning on making these particular paintings again.

They all come signed with a certificate of authentication

A rather lovely bit of news… 🍎

My painting ‘Becoming’ has been shortlisted for the cover art for the next issue of Pier Magazine!

I’m really chuffed to have had the painting shortlisted. It’s always a nice little buzz when something you’ve made gets recognised, and I’m very happy to see Becoming getting a bit of attention.

Huge thanks to the Pier Magazine team for shortlisting my work, and congratulations to all the other shortlisted artists.

Now I’m looking forward to the launch party, a glass of something fizzy and seeing the new issue come to life. 🥂🎨

Day two of Seafood & Sounds! 🐟🎶

I had a lovely couple travel down especially to see me because they (and I quote) “didn’t buy enough from me last year” 😄❤️

Honestly, things like that mean so much. And it’s already been a brilliant weekend for networking too, so I’m feeling very positive about what might come from it! 🎉

A massive thank you to everyone who has come to see me, bought something, stopped for a chat or simply shown your support. It’s massively appreciated ❤️

Now back to painting!

A little bit of news… 🐟🎨

This weekend’s Seafood & Sounds will be a rather special one for me, because it was actually my very first market… and it’ll also be my last! 🥹

I’ve decided to step away from markets for the time being and have cancelled my remaining market bookings. Instead, I’m going to focus my energy on my artwork and start applying for art fairs and exhibitions for next year. It feels like the right time to take things in a slightly different direction and really focus on where I want my art to go. ❤️

I’d absolutely LOVE to see some familiar faces at Seafood & Sounds, so if you’re there, please come and say hello! And I want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has supported me at my markets over the past year. Whether you bought something, stopped for a chat, shared my work, or just came to say hello, it genuinely means so much. 🥰

Unfortunately, Sideshow Bel will NOT be joining me 🤣🤣 so it’ll just be me, painting my fish and attempting to behave myself!

After a very stressful little saga, I’m absolutely thrilled to say that my shop has officially been reinstated! 🥳
