Today it was upstairs downstairs at North End Baptist Church!

Downstairs was Rob at The Pantry making a gorgeous chick pea and coconut curry giving tasters to attendees of the pantry , showing how some ingredients they may have in their weekly shopping basket can make a super quick and easy economical curry 🥘
Rob was also chatting with attendees to see if they may be interested in attending some budget cookery workshops- 26 shoppers attended the pantry today with many taking recipes and trying the curry 👨‍🍳
Upstairs was Will with chop cook chat gents group making fresh fruit waffles with syrup sauce yummy what a morning for cookery. Thank you SPARK Community Space who lent us the waffle makers and donated ingredients! What a great morning!

🌾Did you know we have a monthly walk at Farlington Marshes? 🌾

We havent done this walk for a few months due to the works taking place, but we are now back for October and would love new people to join the walk.

We meet at the third car park nearest to the marshes, and our walk leader John will be there to greet you for a 90 minute walk around the marshes. This is a leisurely stroll, with the chance to see the wildlife and chat to friendly people. We would love to see you there. There is no need to book and you can just turn up on the day. 🌾

One Stop at a Time
⁣
⁣
Button pressed.
Bus checked.
Next stop... confidence. 🚌
⁣
Journey by journey.
Stop by stop.
Building independence
doesn’t happen all at once.
⁣
Sometimes it starts
with one bus,
one journey,
and one step forward. 💙

One of our clients gave us this feedback at her final appointment:

😊"5 stars for the Community Connectors. It's the best thing I've done. I smile much more now. Thank you" 😊

We are really excited and happy to share that Milton Piece Community Allotment won a special Community Wellbeing award at the Portsmouth In Bloom finales last week 💚

It was a fantastic event with so many wonderful achievements. Well done to all the amazing volunteers and attendees who make the allotment such a special place. We just need to decide where to display our trophy 🏆 🤔

🌧️ Rain didn't stop Floss today!

For the first time in three months, Floss made the journey to Fratton Community Centre, enjoyed a game of New Age Kurling, and shared plenty of laughs with friends along the way.

Sometimes community connection is the best reason to brave the weather. 😊

🌟 If you, or someone you know, could benefit from some support to reconnect with the community, build confidence, and achieve personal goals, we'd love to hear from you.

Shared Pain Group
A new peer support group for people living with persistent pain
📍 John Pounds Centre, Portsmouth
🗓️ Wednesday
🕧 12:30pm - 2:30pm

Are you living with persistent or long-term pain?
Join us for a welcoming and supportive space to:

• Share experiences with others who understand
• Give and receive peer support
• Connect with your local community
• Learn from each other's experiences

The Shared Pain Group is still being developed, so this is a great opportunity to contribute your ideas and help create a group that works for the people who use it.

Everyone is welcome. There is no pressure to speak, and participation is always optional.

Together, we can build a supportive community where all pain is valid and everyone's experience matters.
