The last thing you see before you die….

I recently found this very old photo of my youngest ‘enjoying’ herself at a party. Actually, she probably was; I expect someone simply had the audacity to ask her to smile for a photo. If she agrees I might post the vid of her standing in front of a mirror with a guitar singing a song, the dominant lyric of which was ‘you can’t come to my party’. Solid gold.

A bit of prehnite love, please. These 6mm rose cuts are particularly good: pure translucent green with none of the wisps, or clouds or fractures you so frequently get with this material. Beautiful colour, too: proper green. Actually I do also quite like it like that and also with the black toumaline needles, that looks amazing. But if perfect is your thing then these are it.

The weather has been a bit like this lately hasn’t it, fellow UK peeps?! Sunny and then cloudy and then raining and then hail or something definitely not seasonally appropriate. Do you know what’s the best stone for this? Labradorite of course: hazy, translucent silvery grey with a beautiful glowing azure sheen. I love labradorite, did you know the Inuit consider it is fiery pieces of the Aurora borealis, fallen to earth? I have the best labradorite, all of it super-flashy. Due to chaos and complications over the weekend, I failed to take down my sale. That is, the discount expired but all the notices were still up saying it was live. Druzy slices - the last few are on sale in my Spring event. These are a lovely silvery grey with sparkling white crystals. They’re drilled so you can string them or set them in a window setting. You so often get these dyed but I like them like this, perfect neutrals, just a few quid a stone! You can find them at the location below.

I drove up the A3 this morning; such a beautiful dawning spring day over the South Downs: a little misty with the clear blue skies glimmering through. It put me in mind of blue moonstone; that pellucid mistiness with the blue gleaming through. Which in my book means blue moonstone is the perfect spring stone!
