From our cosy base in Elswick, Lancashire, we run hands-on workshops where you can relax, learn, and make something special. For many years I have been an avid crafter, trying out many techniques over the years. My favourite crafts have always been crochet and knitting, particularly accessories for family and home. I forgot to tell you all about the workshop i went to on Saturday. It was on drop spinning and Nalbinding! Ive been trying to teach myself Nalbinding for ages and couldn't get it but an afternoon with Heather from Kilgrimol crafts at Aunty Social i think I might have got it!

For those who don't know Nalbinding (also spelled nålebinding or nålbinding) is an ancient fabric creation technique that predates both knitting and crochet by thousands of years. Also known as viking knitting

Phew it's been a busy day for me. Live demo this morning and new crochet beginners this evening. I'm all talked out!
