🌈🦋 A LITTLE BIT OF RAINBOW

If the autumn colours aren’t enough, why not bring out the whole rainbow?

Jeanette has created this lovely card using the Antisocial Butterfly stamp set from Visible Image, coloured with her Ohuhu markers. The soft pastel colours really make the butterfly pop against the black and turquoise.

Here’s how she made it:

Step 1: Stamp the butterfly from the Antisocial Butterfly set onto cardstock.

Step 2: Colour the butterfly with Ohuhu markers, using a selection of soft pastel rainbow shades.

Step 3: Stamp a sentiment from the Birthday Wishes set onto black cardstock and heat emboss it in white.

Step 4: Add a layer of black cardstock around the main panel to frame the design.

Step 5: Finish by mounting everything onto a light turquoise card blank.

We love how the pastel rainbow colours contrast with the black layers, while the turquoise card blank adds that final pop of colour.

Perhaps now it’s time to put the pastels away and reach for some more traditional autumn shades… 🍂

🖤 There Is Always A Glimmer Of Light 💡

Nicola has created this gorgeous mixed media tag using Glimmer of Light and Dark Hearts…packed with texture, layers and those beautiful little details that make you want to keep looking. 🦋

Here’s how she created it:

1️⃣ Create the background
Start with a manila tag and apply black texture paste through the Dark Hearts stencil. Once completely dry, sprinkle over ink powders, spritz with water and leave to dry.

2️⃣ Add depth
Ink around the edges using Vintage Photo and Scorched Timber Distress Inks, then finish the background with white ink spatters.

3️⃣ Stamp and emboss
Stamp the main image from Glimmer of Light using Versafine Onyx Black, sprinkle with clear embossing powder and heat emboss. Stamp and emboss the light bulbs, sentiments and an extra moth so the body can be used separately. Fussy cut all the elements.

4️⃣ Add colour
Colour one of the moths and some mummy cloth using diluted ink powders. The light bulbs were coloured with Posca pens to give them that brilliant pop of yellow.

5️⃣ Bring it all together
Assemble the tag, then add Wink of Stella to the moth wings for a subtle shimmer. Finish the light bulbs with Glossy Accents for that gorgeous dimensional shine.

The finished result is dark, dramatic and full of texture with the perfect reminder that there is always a glimmer of light, even in our darkest moments.

A LITTLE FRAGILE 🦋

Chiara has created this beautifully atmospheric card using Visible Image stamps, combining deep blues, texture and that striking butterfly and clock imagery.

The reel takes you through the process — building the grungy, cracked background, adding layers of texture, stamping and colouring the focal image before bringing everything together.

“WE ARE ALL A LITTLE FRAGILE” feels absolutely perfect for this design. Raw, delicate and just a little bit edgy. 🖤💙

🎄☕ A little Christmas crafting inspiration from Shirley! ☕🎄

It’s never too early to start making those Christmas cards, and this one features the fabulous Marshmallow Moments stamp set from .

Here’s how Shirley created it:

STEP 1. Stamp & mask
Stamp the marshmallow mug onto white card. Stamp it again onto adhesive masking paper and carefully cut out the centre of the mug, leaving the outer shape intact.

STEP 2. Add the trees
Place the mask over the stamped mug, then stamp the tree images inside the mug. Remove the mask to reveal the trees sitting neatly within the mug.

STEP 3. Colour the mug
Use Shabby Shutters and Rustic Wilderness Distress Inks to colour the mug and trees.

STEP 4. Colour the marshmallows
Use Zig Clean Colour Brushes to add colour and shading to the marshmallows, giving them that soft, toasted look.

STEP 5. Create the background
Dampen the card with clean water, then add Shabby Shutters and Worn Lipstick, allowing the colours to blend and bleed into each other. Leave the lower portion of the card mostly blank to create a little base for the mug.

STEP 6. Add the shadow
Use the same colours beneath the mug to create a soft grounding shadow.

STEP 7. Finish with splatters
Add a few carefully placed splatters to bring the whole background together.

And there you have it! A cosy cup of Christmas cheer! 🎄☕❤️

🍂 BUILD THE LAYERS. CREATE THE MAGIC! 🎃

Lorraine is back with another gorgeous Visible Image Design Team project, and this one is packed with autumn colour, grungy texture and clever masking.

What I love about this card is that it looks layered and dimensional, but it’s completely flat…perfect if you want lots of depth without adding loads of bulk.

Here’s how Lorraine created it:

🍁 STEP BY STEP

1. Start with the foreground
Decide which elements need to sit in front of or behind one another. Lorraine started with the small daisies from Daisy Grunge, stamping them towards the bottom of the panel.

2. Create your first masks
Stamp the daisies onto sticky notes and carefully fussy cut them. Sticky notes are ideal because they’re thin and easy to cut.

3. Add the pumpkin 🎃
Mask the faces on the large pumpkin from Happy Halloween before inking and stamping it. Then create a mask for the pumpkin itself.

4. Build the layers
With the pumpkin masked, stamp more daisies so they appear to sit behind the pumpkin. Add even more flowers further into the background to build that sense of depth.

5. Add the autumn details 🍁
Stamp the leaves from Erika’s Maple, along with the words. Lorraine also added a few loose sketch lines to the pumpkin for extra character.

6. Clear emboss everything
Stamp and clear heat-emboss the images. This creates a resist, allowing the images to remain defined when the sprays are added later.

7. Bring on the colour!
Spritz with Distress Spray Stains in red, yellow, orange and green, then add touches of red and gold Mica Stains for that gorgeous autumn shimmer.

8. Add the stencil detail
Use the Autumn Leaves stencil to mask the area around the large leaf before spraying.

9. Put the detail back
Some definition can disappear beneath the sprays, so Lorraine used alcohol markers to add colour back into the smaller leaves and flowers.

10. Finish the card
Edge the panel with a black marker, mat it onto yellow card and attach it to a kraft card blank.

And there you have it. A completely flat card with loads of visual depth, texture and autumn drama. 🍂🎃

A little bit of Daisy Days MAGIC from Chiara! 🌼✨

This beautiful tag is full of layers, texture and colour…but wait for it! The daisy actually spins! 🌼🔄
Such a clever little detail that brings the whole design to life.

We love how Chiara has combined the bold daisy with those distressed, vintage details to create something that feels beautifully handmade, a little bit grungy and completely full of personality.

Definitely one to watch right to the end! 👀

🌼 DAISY DAYS…A BURST OF COLOUR! 🌼

Jane has been having some colourful inky fun with the fabulous Visible Image Daisy Days stamp set for her latest Design Team make! 💜💛💗💙

The starting point for this card was that vibrant alcohol ink background. Here’s how she created it:

1️⃣ Create the background
Jane used alcohol inks in turquoise, pink, purple and yellow on a piece of Yupo, allowing the colours to mingle and create their own fabulous patterns. She then added some of the text stamp using black Archival Ink.

2️⃣ Create the daisy
The daisy was stamped onto white card, cut out and kept mostly black and white to contrast with the colourful background. A touch of yellow was added to the flower before finishing it with a fun yellow button centre.

3️⃣ Make the tag
A kraft tag was stamped with the bubble detail from the set using Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide ink, then embossed with the matching embossing glaze.

4️⃣ Add the sentiment
The DAISY DAYS wording was stamped in pink, cut out and added across the tag.

5️⃣ Add the finishing touches
A piece of purple spotted ribbon was tied through the tag, before layering everything together with a sheet of purple glitter card and mounting it onto a kraft card base.

And that’s it! A bright, colourful card with plenty of contrast and lots of fabulous inky texture. 🌼

Sometimes the best thing you can do is get the inks out, stop worrying about making everything perfect and just PLAY! 🎨
