✨ Hope Shines Brighter than Fear ✨

This dreamy background was created with a Vaseline resist technique through the Stardust Dreams stencil, then brought to life with shimmering Distress Mica Stains. The beautiful ‘Star Girl’ silhouette from the Inner Glow stamp set takes centre stage, while layered text stamping adds depth and texture.

Embossed stars and a heartfelt sentiment complete this magical, starry design. 💜⭐

🦋 Summer Butterflies & Birthday Wishes 🦋

Summer celebrations are all about spending time with friends and family, enjoying sunshine, laughter, and making special memories. Rachel drew inspiration from those happy occasions to create this bright and uplifting birthday card using the fabulous Fly High and Birthday Wishes stamp sets, together with the Colour Blind stencil.

The vibrant background combines beautiful shades of violet and raspberry, while the textured stencil design adds depth and interest. Soft blue butterflies flutter across the card, bringing a sense of movement and joy, while sparkling gems add the perfect finishing touch.

🦋 [Process] ⬇️

1️⃣ Create a colourful background using Distress Spray Stains in Wilted Violet and Picked Raspberry.

2️⃣ Stamp and heat emboss words from the Fly High stamp set to add subtle background detail.

3️⃣ Blend Picked Raspberry Distress Ink around the edges for definition.

4️⃣ Apply Distress Opaque Grit Paste through the Colour Blind stencil and leave to dry.

5️⃣ Add splatters of Distress Spritz and white ink for extra texture and interest.

6️⃣ Stamp, emboss, colour and fussy cut the butterflies, then add a touch of sparkle with a glitter pen.

7️⃣ Stamp and heat emboss the birthday sentiment onto black card and cut it out.

8️⃣ Assemble the card using foam pads for dimension and finish with plenty of sparkly gems.

Rachel loves the cheerful energy this design brings and how the butterflies seem to dance across the page.

✨ Just like the butterflies, this card is a reminder to spread your wings, celebrate the moment, and fly high on your special day.

🐾 Wherever I Lay My Cat… That’s My Home! 🏡

Today’s card is all about colour, character and a little feline charm! Using the That Lovin’ Feline stamp set and the Cat’s Whiskers stencil, this design combines a bold ink blended background with a striking stencilled cat silhouette for maximum impact.

🐾 [Process] ⬇️

1. Blended Distress Inks through the Cat’s Whiskers stencil to create the glowing background.
2. Stamped the cat and bird images from the That Lovin’ Feline set.
3. Watercoloured the images using Distress Inks for a coordinated look.
4. Fussy cut and adhered the images to the card front.
5. Added the sentiment and finished with hand-drawn hearts for an extra touch of love.

One of the things she loves most about this design is how easy it is to customise. Change the cat’s colouring to match a beloved pet, switch up the background colours, or choose a different sentiment from the set to create a new home card, get well card or simply a cheerful note to brighten someone’s day!

🦋 Fluttering Through Summer Colours 🦋

It’s that lovely time of year when nature puts on its most spectacular show, filling our gardens with beautiful blooms and colourful butterflies. Inspired by the season, Jeanette created these two vibrant mixed-media tags celebrating the beauty of the here and now.

Using the Visible Image Fibonacci stamp for the backgrounds and Wings of Change butterflies as the focal points, she combined bright colours, texture, and dimension to create tags that are perfect for summer gifting and celebrations.

[Process] ⬇️

1️⃣ Stamp the Fibonacci background onto the tags with VersaMark ink and heat emboss using Wow! White Embossing Powder.
2️⃣ Create two colourful combinations using Dylusions Shimmer Sprays:�• Tangerine Dream & Pure Sunshine�• Fresh Lime & Calypso Teal
Spray the tags and allow them to dry completely.
3️⃣ Mount the finished tags onto black cardstock to create a bold frame and make the colours pop.
4️⃣ Stamp several butterflies using Memento Ink, colour them with Ohuhu markers, then fussy cut them.
5️⃣ Attach the butterflies using 3D foam pads to add dimension and movement.
These cheerful tags are a wonderful addition to any summer party, birthday, or special celebration. Simply add a sentiment and tie one to a bouquet of flowers, a bottle of wine, or a thoughtfully wrapped gift for an extra special touch.

Hope shines Brighter than fear. ⭐

Nicola has been creating with the beautiful Inner Glow stamp set, bringing together warm colour blends, sparkling stars, and an inspiring silhouette design.

Using Distress Inks, she created a dreamy blended background before stamping stars across the panel and heat embossing the star trails in white for extra contrast. The text background adds depth and texture, while the focal image was stamped in black and heat embossed with clear embossing powder to create a striking finish. To complete the card, she added the uplifting sentiment that perfectly captures the magical feel of the design.

A card filled with starlight, hope, and a little bit of sparkle. ⭐

Using Distress Sprays for the dreamy background, Chiara blended ink through the Starry Nights stencil, and added delicate white gel pen highlights to create the perfect celestial backdrop. A little boy from the Catch a Star stamp set takes centre stage, clear embossed and fussy cut, while fluttering butterflies and a heartfelt sentiment complete the story.

✨ Moonlit Dreams & Magical Swings ✨

Shirley created this enchanting card using the brand new Carefree Days stamp set, combining gelli printing, stamping and stencilling to create a beautiful moonlit scene.

[Process] ⬇️

1️⃣ Distress Paints were applied to a gelli plate, with lighter blues blended into the top right corner and black concentrated around the bottom left.

2️⃣ The print was pulled to create a dreamy nighttime background with natural light and shadow.

3️⃣ The girl on the swing and branch images were stamped and heat embossed to create the focal point.

4️⃣ Cosmic Shimmer Gold Pearl Texture Paste was applied through the Starry Nights stencil.

5️⃣ The moon was positioned in the top right corner, while the sparkling star trail was aligned with the swing to create movement and guide the eye across the design.

The combination of the silhouette image, shimmering texture paste and rich gelli printed background brings this magical nighttime scene to life. 🌙💙

⭐ Colourful Catch ⭐

Welcome to Lorraine’s first DT project using the beautiful new Hopes and Dreams Collection! For this card, she mainly used the Catch A Star stamp set, with a little help from Inner Glow, to create a colourful, sparkling night scene.

[Process] ⬇️

✨ Created a vibrant background using Distress Spray Stains in primary colours.

✨ Stamped the children and star outlines with Versamark ink, then heat embossed them with clear embossing powder.

✨ Filled the stars using the solid star stamps from Inner Glow and repeated the clear heat embossing.

✨ Positioned a torn paper mask across the bottom of the panel before blending Memento Tuxedo Black ink over the entire background. The embossing resisted the ink, allowing the colourful images to shine through.

✨ Gently wiped the embossed areas with a damp tissue to remove excess ink and brighten the colours.

✨ Stamped and clear heat embossed the sentiment along the ground.

✨ Added gold metallic watercolour splatters for extra sparkle and distant stars, carefully masking the children and ground area.

✨ Mounted the finished panel onto gold metallic card before attaching it to a black square card blank.

The finished design captures the magic of reaching for the stars, finished with plenty of sparkle and a dreamy night sky. 💫

Did you catch Mark on HobbyMaker TV earlier this week showcasing the fabulous new Hopes and Dreams collection? Rachel certainly did, and for this week’s DT project she couldn’t wait to get creative with the beautiful Catch a Star stamp set.

Featuring strong silhouette images, delicate butterflies, sparkling stars and a dreamy ink-splattered background, this handmade tag is the perfect way to send a little encouragement to someone special. ✨

[Process] ⬇️

1. Create the background
• Spray a white card tag with Picked Raspberry and Ripe Persimmon Distress Spray Stains.
• Mist with water to help the colours blend and move across the surface.
• Stamp the star cluster image from the Catch a Star stamp set randomly across the tag using Picked Raspberry and Ripe Persimmon Distress Ink.
• Blend the same inks around the edges of the tag for added depth.
• Finish with splatters of Fossilized Amber Distress Spritz and white ink.

2. Add the focal images
• Stamp the silhouette figures and butterflies directly onto the background using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.
• Heat emboss with WOW Clear Gloss Embossing Powder for a rich, shiny finish.
• Stamp the star images with Versamark and heat emboss using WOW Metallic Gold Rich Embossing Powder.

3. Create the sentiment
• Stamp the sentiment onto black card using Versamark ink.
• Heat emboss with WOW Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder.
• Carefully fussy cut around the words.

4. Assemble the tag
• Mount the finished tag onto black card to frame the design.
• Adhere the sentiment with acrylic glue.
• Add a few tiny sparkly gems for extra detail.
• Thread a bright ribbon through the top to complete the project.

💡 Top Tip: Ground the stamped figures by blending a slightly darker shade of Distress Ink beneath them. This simple technique helps anchor the images and adds depth to the finished design.

Every Dream Begins with a Wish ✨☁️💙

Dreamy layers and beautiful details come together in this enchanting handmade card by Chiara. Using the brand new Carefree Days stamp set, she created a striking focal point with the silhouette of a woman swinging among the clouds. Distress Inks were blended through the Cloud Nine stencils to build depth and dimension, while embossing powder added shimmering texture and layered interest throughout the design.

Finished with an inspiring sentiment, this card captures the magic of dreams, wishes, and creativity.
