Another serving bowl, glaze combination simple and striking. I manipulate the clay with bends and folds when it’s leather hard. About 24hours after it’s made. I really like the fluid movement of the rim, it shows the flexibility of the clay before a firing.

Here is a selection of images of my Double Walled Bowls. These items can be used both ways, cake stand and cheese board one way, dip and chip the other. I always do my own photographs for selling online. But instead of purchasing food and setting up a photoshoot of the bowls being used, I thought I’d try AI to create the food ones for me. I think it’s quite scary what AI can do but don’t want to work against it. So Iv tried to work in partnership with my own product photography but with a little help on saving the experience on buying food and the time for doing that. Im still not sure about it as I feel like I’m cheating a bit 🤷🏻‍♀️

These are my personal favourite in results and glazing process. Black and white slip is applied in brushstrokes when the clay is leather hard. Wax resist over some of the mark making before the glaze. The hand painted slip really does make each one individual.
Come and see them on Saturday in the Ceramic Fitch Studio. It’s open 9-3.
