We’ve been receiving visits from this stunning woodpecker several times a day for the last two weeks but he’s quite shy so, until yesterday, we hadn’t been able to take any photos.

We absolutely love him and think he’s quite exotic lookimg in our English garden.

We’ve seen him fly off with food in his beak so are even hopeful there are baby woodies nearby!

We love a bit of vintage industrial styling and these Danish spotlights are a perfect example.

They’re high quality, all metal lamps that are super versatile - they can be used on walls, ceilings and even on tables as a desk or bedside table lamp.

Bargain alert for those who don’t mind a bit of ‘patina’!

This mid century Italian lamp came with another lamp, and we could have just thrown it away because the parts and labour to refurbish it will cost more than its sale price.

But we think it’s still a nice thing, that someone will love, so we’ve teamed it up with an aged brass lampholder and cable, which we think really complements it, and now it’s ready to provide another 60+ years of lighting services!

On the left we’ve teamed it with a brass fitting and old gold cable.

On the right we’ve teamed it with a bronze fitting and navy blue cable.
