🌟 Living Room Reveal 🌟

My clients recently bought a house that was in desperate need of renovation and they contacted me to ask for help. They booked a Designer for a Day session with me and I got to work straightaway planning out their living room with them.

The room had been completely stripped back to its bare bones so we were starting from scratch and they wanted a cosy space to watch TV, read and entertain friends and family, complete with a secret door disguised as a bookcase! 📚

These were the suggestions I made:

✔️ Panel the walls so the secret door would look even more hidden
Hang mirrors and wall lights to sit within the panels to bounce light around the room
✔️ Deep blue paint for the walls/panelling to create the moody look and feel they wanted
✔️Corner sofa with deep buttoning and low arms
✔️ Bar trolley for entertaining
✔️ Contrasting cushions for the sofa
✔️ Large picture for above the fireplace (still to be chosen by them)
✔️ Light carpet to offset the dark blue walls

And what a transformation it is!! 🎉🎉
It feels so cosy and homely now and I absolutely LOVE the secret door, kinda want one in my house now! 👀

🌟 Cinema Sensory Room 🌟

It's the first time I've ever been asked to design a cinema sensory room and it was so much fun! 🤗

My clients wanted a cosy space for their three girls to watch movies, play with their toys and have sleepovers with friends as well as featuring some sensory elements and most importantly, lots of storage!

I made the most of every inch of space with a wall-mounted storage unit complete with a sliding ladder (which I know the girls are going to love!), large drawers underneath the TV where the new staircase will be built and a platform underneath the seating for extra drawers.

A large canopy and sheer curtains surrounding the seating area creates a cosy, safe space and the colour-changing LED lights, fairy lights and clouds on the ceiling make for a dream-like feel ⛅✨

🌟 Music Room Design 🌟

It's been a busy start to the new year with bookings and I wanted to share some 3D visuals that I created during a Designer for a Day session last week for a really fun project - a Music Room! 🎸🎹🎻🥁

My clients are a very musical family and they wanted a dedicated room where they could practice and perform! These are the elements I suggested:

🎸 Upholstered wall panels to help with soundproofing/acoustics and as a attractive backdrop to the performance area
🎸 Wall mounted guitars illuminated by a recessed spotlight
🎸 Music-themed neon lights
🎸 Colour-changing LED strip lights
🎸 Dark and moody colour scheme for maximum drama
🎸 In built storage for music books, etc.
