"She cares about this project as deeply as we do".

That is one of the most meaningful things a client can say after working together and it is exactly what I set out to make every client feel.

When Binit and Reshma came to me, they had a clear vision of various areas of their house, but not how it all fitted together. My job was to listen carefully enough to make that vision buildable and to bring the puzzle pieces together.

We worked through multiple design iterations together, navigated multiple regul;atory bodies, and ensured the scheme was positioned as strongly as possible for planning approval.

Now the build is underway — and they know they can still pick up the phone.

That continuity of care matters to me. A project does not end at planning. It ends when the family walks into a home that finally works for them.

If you are considering extending or reconfiguring your home and want an architect who will stay invested from first sketch to final brick, I would love to hear from you.

There is a link in bio to start the conversation or type 'book' and you will be sent a DM with a link to my call calendar.

This mid-terraced house was dark in the middle with no natural light and a loft that was too low to convert. The family needed extra space and knew at some point they'd need to move, but the timing wasn't right, and so they came to me.

Every professional they'd spoken to had told them the loft conversion wasn't possible. The headheight simply wasn't there and it would not comply with Building Regulations. Technically, they were right — if you let the existing structure determine what is possible.

So what did we do?

The homeowner trusted me to come up with a non-standard solution.
We got rid of the existing structure and everything that limited us to a 'normal' outcome. We demolished the entire roof and the first floor ceiling and reconstructed it at a lower level to unlock the headheight above and the ultimate layout.
These key decisions didn't just make the loft possible, they unlocked a layout and arrangement that is genuinely rare but completely functional.

A large skylight is now positioned intentionally above a new stair void, created from the way we positioned the steel. This allows light to travel through the whole house from the main roof down to the entrance hall.

The outcome is like a magic trick — the kind of result that on paper shouldn't exist.
The space is unrecognisable, with an outcome that was hard to imagine from the start.

This is the kind of house that most people write off because the limitations feel too significant. What made it possible wasn't just the technical thinking. It was a client who was open to doing things differently. To deciding that investing in their immediate environment for the next few years was important, despite this not being their forever home.

The transformation is much more than an additional bedroom. And when this house goes on the market, it will be worth every penny of the investment.

Most homeowners start with a builder quote or ideas of what is possible based on what others have done. This is where the first mistake is made.

Before you speak with anyone, get a quote or let your well meaning cousin plant ideas about what you should do, seek a clear understanding of the challenges you are seeking to solve with the building work.

That's exactly what the Livewell Home Transformation Strategy Session is designed to do. We discuss your specific needs with site specific opportunities and constraints.

Comment 'CLARITY' and I'll send you a free guide plus full details of the session, how it works and what we cover.

When we were appointed by this client, one thing was immediately clear. This house had stunning views onto the greenbelt which was completely lost in the original layout - behind a series of disconnected rooms.

As we talked, the brief became clear. This client needed a home that finally worked for how they wanted to live. Somewhere they could enjoy time together daily, which would work just as well throughout the seasons - all the while feeling connected to the garden and fields beyond.

As we drew, we planned each household and daily life event, we planned the room lights and the pictures, the kitchen layout and the skylights. We re-imagined this entire house from scratch with a full layout adjustment refurbishment and extension.

Despite this, what I've learnt over the years is this - when everything is thought through properly, the home starts giving you things you didn't plan for. The way the light catches a particular area within the room and how a view looks in the reflection, this is the gift that keeps on giving.

If your home isn't working for how you live, let's talk about what's possible.

Stuck between moving and staying.
Overwhelmed. No idea where to start.
This is what happened when I worked with Joanne who was struggling with all these things "She took my vague ideas and turned them into something far better than I could have imagined".

If that sounds like where you are right now — let's talk.

Most extensions solve the wrong problem.

You add the space. You spend the money. Six months later, nothing has really changed. The dead rooms are still dead. The home still doesn't quite flow.

Not because the build was bad. Because nobody asked the right question first or took the time to work out which puzzle pieces actually needed solving.

Diagnosis comes before design. Understanding what to adjust, fix or reintroduce is what changes the brief, the layout, and what your money actually returns.

Comment 'STRATEGY' and I'll send you the LiveWell Home Strategy Meeting structure that sets projects up for success so you can see for yourself.

It's 90 minutes. Not a sales call. Starts with how you actually live. Ends with a clear picture of what your home could be.

From a semi-detached house that lacked its own identity,
to a home with presence, symmetry, and confidence.

What was once a frontage with no clear identity, is now a balanced elevation with a defined entrance and clear sense of arrival.

Clients often feel that something is missing from the external appearance of their home.
This isn't simply about space, it's about order, proportions, materials and intention.

Because when these elements are carefully considered,
even the most ordinary homes can be transformed into something far more considered and beautiful.

If you’re at the early stages of planning your home, this is where the right decisions make all the difference.

Most renovations don’t fail because of bad design, they fail because of the decisions made before it.

A forever home isn’t created by chance.
It is carefully shaped, protected, and delivered with intention.

At Livewell Architecture, I guide my clients through every decision, ensuring the end result doesn’t simply look beautiful but that it also works effortlessly for how they truly live.

Because a cohesive & functional home requires far more than architectural drawings. It requires clarity, precision, and a deep understanding of how space supports everyday life.

This is where projects are either elevated… or compromised.

If you’re at the early stages of planning your home, this is where the right decisions make all the difference.

The mistake keeping your extension from being truly beautiful — your architect leaves before it's finished.

-------------------------------------------

Beautiful architecture is never by chance — it’s shaped through a clear and consistent vision from start to finish.

It begins with listening — not only to what clients say, but also to what’s felt between the lines of how they describe the space they dream to have.

From those first sketches to the final brick laid, every decision reflects that vision.

For this project, the client chose our full architectural service, allowing the dialogue between architect and builder to continue right through construction. The benefit is seen in the consistency — thoughtful detailing, craftsmanship, and care in every joint and junction, both inside and out.

Most homes were never designed for the way families live today.

This one now works beautifully—functionally, visually, and emotionally.

A complete transformation, guided with clarity from concept through to interior vision.

This is what happens when design is done properly.
