Hi my name is Sue I am a proud Cornish born and bred maid living in Mid Cornwall. I have done all sorts of crafts but my favourite has got to be sewing. I started with bag making, but after loosing our Mum in 2021 I am now concentrating on making Memory and Keepsake Bears. The first bears I made were from mums clothes, I made 12 bears for my brother, sisters and our children. I think it is such a privilege to be entrusted with the precious clothing of a loved one to create a bear that can hopefully bring some comfort at such a sad time. The keepsake bears are also a privilege to make. Being able to make a bear which will bring back happy memories,joy and comfort is very rewarding. Evening all,

back in August I made 2 bears in memory of a much loved and very dearly missed Gramps. I had some of his shirts and his very special Boy Scouts jumper from his youth which included the badges he had gained. It was a privilege to work with such a treasured possession.

I was recently asked to make 2 little keepsake bears from some lovely new born baby clothes. I think they made 2 very cute bears, hope you agree.
This is a perfect way to preserve those precious clothes and the memories of your baby’s first few months.

Evening.

A few weeks ago I had the privilege of making 12 memory bears in memory of a much loved and dearly missed husband, dad, papa and great papa. These little bears were particularly special for me to make as I have known this lovely man for a long time. He was a proper gentleman who whenever we met would always have a smile, a laugh, and be ready for a chat. I know he will be greatly missed by his family, his friends and also myself and my family.
I would like to say a big thank you to the family for asking and trusting me to make your bears, I hope they can bring you some comfort and bring back many happy memories of your loved one.

Evening, here is a pretty little keepsake bear that was collected today. She was made using a dress worn during pregnancy and a new born baby vest which in turn has been worn by 2 babies.
I think this is a perfect way to keep the memories of a special time in life when you have the excitement of waiting for the arrival of your baby followed by welcoming your new baby into your family.
