Every October I head to London for Decorex, and it’s one of my favourite days of the year.

It’s not just a day out. It’s where I build relationships with the makers behind the pieces I specify, and where I find trade-only brands you won’t see on the high street. It’s also where I see, touch and feel fabrics, finishes and lighting before they go anywhere near your home.

Swipe through to see what Decorex means for my clients ➡️

Have a renovation or redesign on the horizon? I’d love to chat to you to find out more and to dicuss how we can work together.

What makes a house feel like home isn’t just the colour on the walls or the furniture you choose.

For me, it’s about understanding how my clients want their home to feel, and then translating that into all the little decisions that make the space work for them.

- Where do you put your keys when you walk through the door?
- Where do you sit with a coffee?
- Which room do you all naturally gravitate towards at the end of the day?
-What needs to be hidden away, and what deserves to be seen?

Those tiny details are often the things that make the biggest difference.

Project Clothorn was a beautiful house when my clients came to me, but it didn’t quite feel like their home. By thinking about how they lived, what they loved and how they wanted each space to feel, we were able to create something much more personal, cohesive and considered.

A home that looks beautiful, but more importantly, one that feels right for the people living in it.

That’s always my goal.

How do you want your home to function and feel?

I’m currently booking projects from November onwards so please get in touch to discuss yours.

What you see on Instagram is the finished room - styled, lit, ready for its close-up. What you don’t see is everything that happened before it.

The hours spent sourcing the right fabric. The layouts I considered, experimented with until I found the one that works best for you. The site visits, the trade calls, the small problems solved on the spot so you never notice that they happened. Design is mostly this bit, the slow, unglamorous middle, but the decisions that make all the difference.

I wanted to share a little more detail of that process with you, because it’s the part that I actually spend most of my time in.

What would you like to see more of behind the scenes? The sourcing, the site visits, the client meetings or something else? Tell me more in the comments below:

So much love and excitement for September 🖤 It always feels far more like New Year than January does. New projects on the horizon, cosy nights are back, and an excuse to light every candle in the house. Oh, and it’s my
birthday month so I may also be a little biased. Here’s the reasons I’m excited - what’s yours?

Let me know in the comments below.

It’s my birthday month 🎉

Who doesn’t love cosy, layered lighting?

Back to school, routine and new stationary. According to my husband, I definitely don’t need another notebook 📒 We’ll see!

Catching up on existing projects and exciting new ones on the horizon.

Weekend trip to Oslo 🇳🇴 with friends at the end of the month.

Living etc tours… so excited for this as I loved it pre-Covid 🏠

Give me all the candles. What’s your favourite? I am partial to anything with pomegranate and I can’t say no to pumpkin spice 🎃

Say no more! Boots, tights, layers, crisp leaves 🍂🧣

What are you looking forward to? Let me know in the comments 💻

When people ask how I feel about my business.

The honest answer js proud…for all of these reasons! The clients, the projects, the people I’ve met along the way and what I’m quietly hoping my children are watching me do.

I didn’t come from a design background. I left a career in probation, retrained, and built something from scratch.

Swipe for the things I’m most proud of, and tell me, what are you most proud of in business, personally, anything?

There's something very special about a client coming back for more.

This project, a complete kitchen, dining, and living extension, was a pleasure to recently see in all its glory. The brief was to open up the back of the house and create a space that worked hard but never felt like it was trying too hard. Somewhere to cook, eat together, listen to music, and feel genuinely connected to the garden.

My clients and I worked through everything together, layouts, lighting and electrical plans, materials, flooring, furniture selections, and what came together was a true reflection of them and what they love. The contrast of the dark kitchen against exposed brick, vintage leather chairs catching the light through the skylights, the slat wall framing the dining space, it all flowed perfectly.

That was 2021. And now my clients have invited me back to undertake further work in their home. There really is no better compliiment than that.

If you'd like to chat through a potential project, I'm now taking on projects from June/July onwards, and I'd love to hear from you.

Corners of my home

I now understand why builders take so long to get around to their own homes! Finally, I l've focused time on elements of my own home and I couldn't be happier.

Bespoke cabinetry by has transformed the alcoves in my lounge and I've had hours of fun styling them...this is the first iterations, I've no doubt there will be many more.

Colour drenching in my other lounge with gorgeous Pigeon, colourful rug of dreams and my favourite striped armchair.

Lastly, my hallway has had a refresh thanks to the very talented and meticulous

I adore using colour, pattern, texture in my home and filling it with with things we love, memories of happy times and our travels. I love to help my clients achieve the same, a home that truly reflects who they are and what they love.

I am currently taking on new projects from June and would love to chat about how we could work together.

Let me re-introduce myself...

Start of another school year and my favourite month (also, my birthday month) when the colours start to change, the candles are lit, and we are all getting cosy.
