Huge, decorative pigment print on paper, mounted on aluminium and signed verso
Size - 60ins x 50ins and entitled 'The Scholar' it depicts a Georgian scene with the scholar himself gazing intently with eyes that seem to follow every movement - uncannily!
We can spend hours imagining what the scholar is looking at. Is he happy or melancholy - perhaps he is a little angry....

This was an iconic Mackintosh design originally for the Ingram Street tea rooms in Glasgow, This is a superb standalone chair and but even more impressive as a pair Bruce Hamiltons quality is superb!

Customers seem to like the new shop but didn't appear to have any cash on them 😮

Oil painting after Tamara de Lempicka the icon of art deco.

Tamara was known for her highly stylised n**es, she loved art and high society in equal measure!
Renowned for an Art Deco style which oozed cool chic and elegant sensuality. Portraiture was her genre, featuring stylised subjects bedecked in seductive textures and bathed in flattering light. Tamara was polish and spent her working life in France and the United States. She died in 1980 at the age of 82.

One of our favourite pieces in our new art gallery in East Street.
