Thank you to Bees in the Trees for the lovely session today making Swedish Stars! It rained, it was muddy and it was cold but we were out in the fresh air making memories! Loved it and can’t recommend it enough!

My Sunday musings are coming late in the day this week and with poor lighting but oh boy it’s been a week! Amongst hurting myself last weekend and tripping in a dog toy and fall down some stairs and hurt myself some more production has been fairly limited.
This autumn I promised myself to make more things for our house than for the business because for someone who spends so many hours at a sewing machine I haven’t got much to show for it in my own home! And here is what I managed to finish this week! Halloween table runner and these two pumpkin cushions! More stuff has been created outside of my sewing room but I cannot share for now 🤭🍁🍂

So a few weeks ago I posted a picture of tiny flip-flops I was making and I just realised I never posted what they were for…
As part of my City Guilds as a fun side quest my tutor sent us the “Ugly Fabric Challenge” and the brief was making something out of fabrics you wouldn’t choose. When I saw the ‘deck chair’ shirting fabric I knew what I wanted to make! Every bit of fabric, embroidery threads, flowers on this either came in the challenge package or it’s ugly fabric I got given as part of a de-stash! The flip-flops came about because as part of the package I received the white string on them! I’m quite pleased with how it turned out and whilst this was not obligatory I’m glad I took the challenge and went with it 😊

Sunday afternoon musings! My studio is a sea of orange! There is something orange on every surface and under the needle! Happy with how the acorn bu ting turned out! This week proved to be challenging when it came for quiet time to design something! The amount of disruption from outside factors beyond my control was insane! In the end I figured the universe was telling me to have a break so I hand painted these cute pumpkins, leaves and acorns the hubby cut for me on his laser!

A bit of slow stitching tonight. Got a broken week with appointments coming up so not a lot will be achieved this week but doing some stitching while watching telly in the evenings helps me feel like I’m still moving towards my goals 🫶🧡

Crafty Fox HQ has been very quiet this week on the production front but it’s been a very productive week for SkyTide photography! Lots of new pictures incoming! As usual Fox Red Freddie had a blast going on adventures around Cumbria and the Scottish Borders! We aim to finish off our week staycation by visiting Fat Dave’s Open Studio with other fellow creatives! (See first pic for deets) If you are in the area we hope to see you there!
