Abalone shell, Feather & Sage
A beautiful, iridescent shell that has been used by Native Americans and indigenous cultures for centuries as a symbol of healing and protection. The spiritual meaning of abalone revolves around its ability to promote emotional balance and harmony.
Feathers connect the Divine Spirit with Mother Earth.
By lighting a smudging stick and allowing it to smoke, it clears negative energies or spaces around the home. Placing the sage in an abalone shell acknowledges the element of Water, sage is an offering of the Earth, lighting sage with a candle represents Fire and using a feather acknowledges the element of Air. All four elements together.
Directions for lighting sage & or Palo Santo; use a candle to light the smudging stick for 15-30 seconds then allow to smoke. Rest the Sage in the shell, allowing it to smoke. Use the feather to waft the healing smoke.
Each shell is unique and has its own markings. Each shell is 5-6”.
Feathers are either natural black crow or guinea fowl wing. Dried flowers are black or cream star flowers, lavender or eucalyptus leaf.
The white sage is from is native land and shipped from California.
