It’s here! Finally! MY FIRST EVER ILLUSTRATION ABROAD. IN MADRID!

Bodega de la Ardosa is now live on my website as prints in all sizes 🥃🍸🥃🍷

It’s not kinda chic, it’s iconic and needs its own post with the ‘trending’ yellow lettering.

A closer look at the details! 🔍✨
It took over two months to bring my watercolour of to life, moving from early pencil lines shown during Carshalton Artists Open Studios all the way to the final brushstrokes.
This is my first-ever Madrid shopfront, inspired by my trip home with BY HEATHER FILBY ✶ boring earrings not allowed 🪩 and Mirri Rowland. It is heading to the Landmark Arts Centre this Autumn!
Prints will be available soon. And if you’re ever in Madrid, do not miss for a vermut and pincho de tortilla! 🍸🧀

It’s been a while! I started my watercolour painting of precisely on the 15th of June, right after I came back from holiday to my hometown Madrid with BY HEATHER FILBY ✶ boring earrings not allowed 🪩 and Mirri Rowland and it is now officially completed on the 21st of August.

If you came to my house during Carshalton Artists hopefully you got to see my painting process and what it looked like when it was just pencil lines and chunky colour blocks.

But this is just one stage of the process. This Tuesday it’s getting professionally scanned by Atelier Sturgess Ltd. and soon after to The Frame Shed to be ready for this Autumn Landmark Arts Centre

Prints soon. Don’t worry, I will let you know.

I hope you enjoy my first EVER shop front from Madrid.

And of course, if you ever find yourself there, do NOT forget to visit , have a vermuth and a pincho de tortilla. I promise you will LOVE IT

I’m back from my lovely holiday in Galicia and after a few days Ill and doing a lot of admin, it’s time to continue with my watercolour painting of , a fabulous tavern in Madrid

We have officially reached the stage where the bulk work is done and it is now down to the fine tuning and the little details.

But the fine tuning is the bit that takes the longest, requires a lot of patience and the smallest tools in the box.

I would say I’m 90% finished on the signage that has all of the beautiful texture. I need to make sure the shadows and the high lights are just right.

I must not forget to make the neon sign look neoney!
Then I will leave for the last all of the lettering at the bottom, which I’m certainly scared because it is just too small. But again, it’s just about patience.

I really look forward to showcasing this piece for the first time for my debut at Landmark Arts Centre this Autumn. More details soon 👀👀

And little shoutout to Halina Ward - The Basket Gardener I bought her little desk brush and it is just perfect to remove all of the eraser debris.

Hope to show you more updates tomorrow!

Hackney day out

To celebrate the summer, I would like to share with you my first series of little trip or days around fantastic neighbourhoods around London: places that inspired me, places I would love to paint, places I would love to preserve.

Last summer I have been sort of commuting to Hackney Wick, as if I was having micro-holidays around the area. And I fell like after not visiting in a very long time.

In no particular order, and all equally magical for different reasons:

- CINÉ-REAL 📽 is just unique and fascinating. You can book the microcinema at the back and enjoy a proper film projection with your friends for a special celebration.

- I loved INNIS for lunch and I look forward to going back to just order the other half of the menu that I didn’t get to try the first time. And perhaps another half a Guiness.

- Do not miss the V&A East Storehouse.

- Since you are walking around, I loved visiting JUJUHOME with one of their fantastic matchas and have a look at their lovely selection of homewares.

- Lord Napier Star because of the nostalgia of seeing it closed for more than 26 years and the joy of seeing it back open.

- I did fall in love with Leo’s , their pasta and the vermouth and soda that just hit the spot on one of the hottest days of the summer. We need to talk about their shop front. JUST SIMPLY perfect.

- Hackney’s Scandi pub 🇳🇴 because is just iconic and cosy

- It feels like a ritual by now, but if you are in the area, a drink by the canal and the obligatory pizza at

- If you collect independent cinemas, do not miss The Castle Cinema Hackney

- Tis personal, but the The Adam and Eve just brings me lots of memories.

- Get there early to grab one of the tables at the front and get some fantastic tacos at

Well, precisely a year ago today, we found ourselves in the most stressful but memorable and amazing month of our lives so far.

After 13 years together we decided to do two of the most stressful things adults can do: get married and move houses.
To make matters just a tiny bit more fun, we had two celebrations in two different countries and one actual legal wedding.

So here is to our 1st year anniversary of our UK wedding party ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Thank you to everyone that shared the day (and month) with us.

Oh and thanks to ._ for making us the loveliest wedding favours.

Going back a bit, The Cutty Sark pub is one that actually took me 3 years until I added it to my collection.

You know my rule, I can only paint places that I have been to.

So it wasn't until the summer of 2024, that wanted to have a summer of exploration around the city but I didn't get to do as much as I would've liked to. But for this summer's was a non-negotiable. So soon after, I quickly planned my trip and made it happen.

The Cutty Sark was a Greenwich clear favourite and it didn't disappoint IRL, specially the interior.

I thought this would've been a fairly easy one to paint but I did spend ages doing the bit stacked bay windows. They have so much texture and reflection and I really wanted to do a really good job with my own watercolour technique.
