I love listening to the dawn chorus, but before the Merlin Bird ID app I never really could tell the different species.

This morning it was tit central!! Great tit, blue tit and coal tit, and so many others.

Mine was a Cetti’s Warbler which I’ll be honest, I’d never even heard of, but here they were merrily singing away in our urban garden in May 🥰

Listening to nature (the birds singing), the breeze, the suns warm rays while you stand there (that’s optimism obviously living in the midlands 😆), the finding your favourite pegs, the smell of the laundry, the right placement of peg to garment, the strategy of getting everything on the line …

At this point you’ll either be thinking - you weirdo or - yes I’m totally with you 😆

The downside of course living in the uk is knowing when to peg out, dodge the showers etc

Check out this make from a very sad looking kids Brownie t-shirt.
The shirt was in a ‘last chance’ bin at a local charity shop. It had clearly seen a lot of fun activities but after a couple of washes it looked much better!!

It had potential - and with a bit of sewing magic sprinkled ….ta-da!!
