Focus SB has been shortlisted for an SBID International Design Award 2026.

We are pleased to be among the inspiring global design talent to have been shortlisted as a finalist in this year’s SBID International Design Awards for our entry, 'Elegant Control for Intelligent Homes' in the Technology & Equipment category.

Our dry-contact retractive switches provide a refined, tactile interface for the most advanced smart home environments.

Designed and manufactured in-house by us in the UK, our dry-contact retractive switches do not directly power a circuit, unlike traditional switches. Instead, the switches send a signal to a home’s control system, allowing each press to be interpreted and executed intelligently. When paired with leading home automation systems such as Lutron, Control4, Crestron or KNX, Focus SB dry contact retractive switches become part of a fully integrated experience.

To complete the final stage of judging, the public is now invited to vote for their favourite finalist designs, which account for 10% of the overall results. We are pleased to announce that Focus SB has been shortlisted as a finalist in the SBID International Design Awards 2026. Our entry, 'Elegant Control for Intelligent Homes', is a finalist in the Technology & Equipment category.

Steve Moss, our Sales and Marketing Manager, says: “We’re thrilled that our dry-contact retractive switches are shortlisted in the SBID awards. This is fantastic news for all of us, and we’re delighted that the skill involved in designing and making these quality products has been recognised by the SBID judging panel. Our elegant, modern keypads are a testament to the team’s dedication and hard work in response to invaluable client feedback.”
