A post I hoped I'd never have to write but I've been scammed 😞 I contacted a company calling itself Enchanted Fairs about a fair in Bury St Edmunds at the beginning of November.

I checked with the venue and it was listed on their website so I paid for my stall.

Then nothing so I chased up the company but their online presence had vanished - some googling and it seems I'm not the only one who has lost money. Whilst it's just £40 I am still cross and angry that people can behave like that. I shall be even more cautious in future when contacted directly.

So sorry Bury folks I will not be selling there this Christmas.

On the upside I have lots of other genuine events booked including Ipswich, Cambridge and my home town of Sudbury.

First of five new earring shapes cut out and ready for the tumbler.

I shall have all five shapes at the Christmas events next month.

I had a message the other week from a lady who'd bought bits from me at events,, asking if I could recreate a piece of her grandsons art in glass?

She sent through a photo of a leaf made from tissue paper - and photo two shows what I delivered to her.

Another happy customer.

I am always happy to discuss making custom pieces - just drop me a message.

After a wonderfully busy weekend of workshops - 20 people over the 2 days, my attention turns now to Christmas/Winter events.

Sunday 8th November, I shall be in Ipswich at the Winter Market.

Following a busy summer of markets, festivals and events, there has been a lot of updates to the online presence for Quirky Cottage Glass and building relationships with other businesses, meaning a lack of social media posts.

Yesterday, I did a course for a friend & her daughter.

They wanted to create a panel based on one that had been in her parents front door for many years.

Here is the finished piece and then a photo of it next to the original panel.

Another workshop this morning - two ladies who picked up a leaflet at an event & decided to try something new.

They made plant stakes - a daisy & set of tulips.

Just one more workshop to go these holidays before I return to my 'proper' job.

There's also a craft fair too - I will share details of that later.

Another day, another workshop. A returning customer who wanted to make a gift for a family member - in fact she made two - a gorgeous pair of robins.

I have two more workshops before my holidays end and I have to go back to school.
