Since the October 7 attacks, Israel's invasion of Gaza has seen the destruction or damage of approximately 81 percent of all structures in the Gaza Strip, including 92 percent of housing stock and 93 percent of all educational institutions.
Gaza's healthcare infrastructure has faced significant challenges in dealing with the war's fallout, with over half of all medical facilities closed, while all of those in operation are only partially functional.
As of May 13, 2026, nearly 73,000 Gazans are estimated to have been killed directly by conflict-related trauma. However, alongside injuries, the destruction to housing, healthcare, agriculture, water facilities, and other infrastructure has undoubtedly contributed to thousands more preventable deaths in Gaza, in one of the largest man-made humanitarian disasters of recent decades. The united nations acknowledges the existence of famine in this region. This is a human choice that has been made and facilitated by those with power over Gaza's border and their international affiliates.
Since march 2025 the Israeli defence forces and their partner organisations have facilitated the blockade of food and essential medical supplies into the Gaza strip. 9 out of 10 Gazan's do not eat every day. This has put 1.17 million people at risk of emergency starvation.
We will be producing a limited run of the below print on A4 archival photo paper. 100% of all profits from the sale of these will be donated to organisations that are able to provide aid and support on the ground in Gaza. These prints will be sold for a pay as you feel price with a minimum of ยฃ25.00 you will be able to donate as much as you feel able to.
Draw a Smile have been distributing aid in Gaza since before the start of the most recent conflict. Ibrahim and the team purchase food that is available at markets at ridiculously inflated rates and re distribute this to those that need it. Since the blockade began most aid organisations are unable to enter the Gaza strip as a result those organisations that are able to provide support are reliant almost exclusively on palestinian people who are included in those figures and are themselves facing the very real prospect of starvation.
It is our heartfelt belief that art in all its forms should be a tool of political communication and give voices to those who otherwise would not be able to. As a result this image will be provided in its original form without water mark, we ask only that if you chose to share or save this image that you donate to Draw a Smile or one of the other organisations listed in the comment section. We will also post a link to the most recent fundraising initiative run by Draw a Smile
We will also be making our own donation alongside that which is given for the prints aimed at matching the contribution from the sale of these prints.
