You don’t need to be an experienced designer. You need to want to become one.

We’re looking for someone at the beginning of their design career to join the Hobsons Choice team in Bath.

You’ll work alongside experienced designers on live high-end residential projects, supporting with CAD, surveys, specifications and technical information, while also being involved in client meetings, presentations, site visits and the wider design process.

The intention is very clear: to give the right person the opportunity to learn the role properly and, over time, progress from supporting projects to developing, presenting and ultimately winning projects of their own.

You may be a recent Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture or Product Design graduate. You may already have some experience in practice. Or you may have taken a different route but have the creativity, technical aptitude and curiosity we’re looking for.

We're looking for the latter.

We're recruiting a Senior Project Manager to join Hobsons Choice in Swindon.

Our projects bring together beautifully designed furniture, appliances, stone, specialist products and skilled installation, often alongside architects, interior designers, contractors and other professionals.

There are a lot of moving parts. The job of our Project Manager is to make sure it never feels that way to the client. We're looking for someone who is exceptionally organised, good with people, comfortable taking responsibility and naturally spots the things that others might miss.

You don't necessarily need to come from the kitchen industry. Your background could be interiors, bespoke joinery, residential fit out, specialist construction or another environment involving detailed, multi stage projects. What matters to us is how you think, how you work with people and the standards you set for yourself.

Master Ensuite in a Georgian Manor

A fully bespoke vanity forms the centrepiece of the room. Storage was tailored precisely to the client, down to the height of individual drawers.

The original fireplace, previously hidden, was restored and reinstated. A new tulipwood section replaces a damaged element, allowing the feature to sit comfortably within the redesigned space while preserving its historic integrity.

What was once an oversized and underused room is now a considered and cohesive space, where movement, material, and proportion have been carefully resolved.
