If you're thinking about a wedding photographer, here's why I'm a little different... 💍✨

Before I start opening my diary up more for weddings, I thought I'd share why so many of the skills I've developed photographing horses, dogs and families transfer perfectly into wedding photography.

Unlike a studio environment, I don't get to choose the lighting. I don't get to choose the weather. I often arrive at locations I've never seen before and have just minutes to work out the best angles, light and backgrounds.

Sound familiar? That's exactly what happens at weddings.

Years of photographing horses and dogs have taught me to anticipate moments before they happen.

A glance between a couple.
A tear from a parent.
A burst of laughter.
A stolen kiss when nobody thinks the camera is watching.

The moments you can't recreate are often the most important ones to capture. ❤️

Every wedding package also includes an engagement shoot. It's a chance for us to meet properly, have a laugh, and help you feel comfortable in front of the camera before your big day.

I love capturing natural, genuine moments, but that doesn't mean you're left wondering what to do. If you'd like direction and posing, that's absolutely included too.

From natural prompts to more traditional portraits, I can guide you as much or as little as you want. 📸

No pressure. No hard sell. Just a relaxed experience and photographs that tell your story.

To celebrate opening up more wedding availability, I'm offering heavily reduced wedding photography packages, including your engagement shoot, for a limited number of couples.

Please allow 24-48hrs for delivery to your email these will come from wetransfer and have Oldham dressage images as the subject. Please check your junk folder.

All images means all images of the same horse.

Full test means the full test.

Just click one image and add to the basket with the selection of purchase you don't need to click them all for all image / all test 📸

Anyone else missing summer and starting to wonder if the weather has forgotten it's June? 🌦️😂

While we're all waiting for the sunshine to make a proper appearance, I'm going to keep pretending it's here already... ☀️🐾

This is Tucker, making the most of one of those rare moments when the sun decided to show up.

Standing proud amongst the long grass, looking like he's got absolutely no worries in the world.

One thing I love about photography is the ability to create a feeling. Sometimes it's not about the weather you have, it's about the moment you capture. A little sunshine, a happy dog, and suddenly it feels like summer again. 🌿✨

So come on British weather... we've done our part. Your turn now! ☀️😂

Sometimes my favourite photographs are the simplest ones.

No tricks. No action shots. No fancy editing.
Just a dog, standing in a beautiful patch of light, being completely himself. ❤️

Photography isn't always about capturing what's happening.

Sometimes it's about capturing who they are.

The cheeky expressions. The curious ears. The way they stop and look at you for a split second before carrying on with whatever adventure they were planning next.

That's what I love most about creating images.
Not following rules. Not recreating what everyone else is doing.

Finding those little moments that tell a story. ✨

🖤 One day, all that's left are the memories... and the photographs that hold them. 🖤

I hear it all the time...

"I'd love a photoshoot, but the timing isn't right."

The truth is, there will always be a reason to wait.
When the horse is fitter. When you've lost a bit of weight. When life is less hectic. When you've got a little more money. When the weather is perfect.

But the ones we love don't know we're waiting for the perfect moment.

This photograph is of my boy, Scampi. 🖤 We took him to the beach when we knew our time together was becoming precious. At the time it was just a day out, making memories and taking photographs. Looking back now, those images mean more than I could ever put into words.

Photographs aren't really about how we looked.

They're about how we felt.
The love. The connection. The silly moments. The ordinary days that become the memories we treasure most.

Years from now, your horse won't care if you weren't wearing your favourite outfit. Your dog won't care if your hair wasn't perfect. The people who love you won't notice the things you worry about when you look in the mirror.

They'll see the memories. ❤️

We spend so much time waiting for the perfect moment that sometimes we forget that this is the moment.

The truth is, none of us know what tomorrow brings.

So take the photographs. Book the shoot. Make the memories.

Break the rules. Make your own path.
Because one day, when everything else has changed, those photographs will still be there. 📸✨
And they'll be worth more than you can ever imagine. ❤️
