Festival hyacinths - just as fragrant as the traditional type, but less dense and longer stemmed. These grew outside in the wet and the cold, in fact in a row which is flooded.

Pull the stems gently from the bulb if you want the longest length. The blue are the best, white not bad, the pink a bit yuck.

Five months old. His eyes have darkened from blue to green, his snout has got longer and he's discovered his bark.
But he still looks to me to pick him up if we're too near heavy traffic, still splays his legs too wide when he sits and still nuzzles into my neck for a cuddle when I sit on the sofa. The sofa that's now his, of course.

His eyes have darkened from blue to green, his snout has lengthened and his puppy yap has become a full-throated bark, but he still looks to me to pick him up if we're too near heavy traffic and still nuzzles into my neck for a cuddle if I sit on the sofa.
