Today's the day. Tony is retiring, and we're in denial.

Now, people who know Tony know he's not really retiring. He's just changing employers. As his vest says, under new management, see wife for details. We give it about a fortnight before she's got him on a stricter schedule than we ever did. Honey-do lists don't come with a pension, Tony.

This is the man who:
⭐Packed deliveries in our factory like he was getting paid per item and there was a limited supply of items.
⭐Quietly got on with his work. We keep finding jobs he just... did. Without being asked. We're half expecting to find out he's been running the place.
⭐ALWAYS had spare sweets. Pocket sweets. Drawer sweets. Coat pocket sweets from last winter he'd still offer you in July. The man was less a factory worker, more a walking tuck shop with a strong work ethic.

So the real question today isn't "who's packing the orders now?" (close second, genuinely worried). It's: who's bringing the sweets? Because the rest of us haven't brought a single sweet in our lives. We're going to have to buy our own. From a shop!

Seriously though, Tony's been an absolute cornerstone. A proper workhorse. The kind who turns up, gets on with it, never moans, and quietly takes fifty mystery jobs off everyone else's plate without mentioning it.

We wish you the longest, happiest retirement imaginable, Tony.

We'll miss you. A lot.

Thank you for your dedicated service over the years.
