🧶 One of the reasons I love crochet has very little to do with what I actually make. 🧡 It's the rhythm of the stitches. Having something to focus on. Keeping your hands busy while your brain slows down a little.

And that lovely feeling of looking down afterwards and realising you've created something with your own hands. You don't have to be “good” at crochet for it to be good for you. What does crochet give you?

🧶 Have you always said, “I'd love to learn to crochet, but…”? Maybe you've tried YouTube and couldn't work out where the hook was supposed to go. Maybe someone tried to teach you years ago and it didn't stick. Or maybe you've never picked up a crochet hook in your life.

That's exactly why I'm putting together my new Crochet Basics Course.

🧡 Three relaxed face-to-face sessions, starting right at the beginning, with me there to help when your yarn inevitably decides not to cooperate! 😂

🎃😂 Pumpkins, Halloween makes, cosy yarn, Christmas ideas quietly creeping onto my hook… there is SO much coming up at Crochic over the next few months and I can't wait to share it all with you.

Maybe you've had a brilliant week. Maybe you're exhausted. Maybe you're somewhere in between.

Whatever kind of week you've had, I hope you can find a little pocket of time this weekend that's just for you – crochet, a walk, a cuppa, a book… whatever helps you switch off for a while. 🧡

🍂🧶 Crochic Crew – Autumn Term booking is now open! 🧶🍂

I’ve now opened up the remaining spaces for Crochic Crew Autumn Term 1 to new members! 💛

Crochic Crew is my relaxed, friendly crochet group for young people in Years 7–9, where the focus is just as much on having a safe, welcoming space to chat and be themselves as it is on learning to crochet.

✨ Beginners are very welcome – no crochet experience needed
✨ Learn new skills and work on different crochet projects
✨ Small, supportive group
✨ Plenty of chatting, giggles and, of course, snacks!

📅 Tuesdays, 8th September–20th October
⏰ 3.30–5pm
📍 Thame Barns Centre

If your child enjoys being creative but perhaps isn't drawn to the usual after-school clubs, Crochic Crew might be just their sort of thing. 🥰

Spaces are limited to keep the group small and relaxed.
