We’ve recently had a little glow up in our living room space with the oh-so-subtle pink zebra print wallpaper & IKEA cabinets 🥰🦓 My lovely picture shelf & back lighting definitely need some of my florals across it - so I’ve gone right back to where it all started 🥹 & created this tonight 💕

Andy & I were meant to get married 04.04.2020, obviously covid had other ideas.. so almost 6 years on I’ve created what I would have created for our reception mantelpieces with the same flowers from The Range 💖 Funny to think how long ago that feels, doesn’t it? And to think if the wedding wasn’t cancelled then, that I wouldn’t have had all these flowers & eucalyptus garlands, & I wouldn’t have had a brainwave one evening to attempt to make myself a front door wreath with no instructions.. & add it to a Facebook group to see what others thought ✨

5 years & 380 wreath orders later my little hobby sideline is still here 🫶🏼 Making front door wreaths is still my happy place, my therapy, my something for ME 🌿 I love it just as much now as I did then & I’m glad we can all look at this masterpiece above the TV every day, ha! 😉

M O N T H E N D M I N D F U L N E S S

Another month in the bag – February, you’ve been great! 😍 We’re one step closer to spring and that warm, dry weather we *should* be getting, although let’s not forget the 17 minutes of sun on Thursday ☀️🤣

We’ve packed a lot in as usual: a big family celebration for my Grandma’s 95th birthday at the start of the month, a long-overdue brunch catch up with our besties (aka Ava’s godparents), an overnight stay at Chessington at the start of half term (a family Christmas present), and then a jam-packed week of pancakes, play dates, Dinogolf, haircuts, nails, lots of crafting and some really special one-to-one time with Ava which I LOVED 👯‍♀️💕 I’ve just come back from a school mums night out (still no drinking, go me 😇) & we have a family games night / dinner / sleepover at my parents tomorrow! 🎲🦢

I’ve now done 8 weeks in the new role and I’m honestly really loving it. Alas, being in the office more has meant NO time for wreath-making 😭 but as I had to WFH today (Andy was in the office), I carved out a couple of hours first thing to make THREE fun, floral springtime beauties, each with hidden little friends - can you spot them all? 🐣🐇

Truthfully, I made these for my own front door, they’re one of a kind as there were only a very limited number of the little animals, but if you’d like one, pop me a message and I can gift wrap and post it to you 📲

I’ll also list the other two wreaths I made in February in case one of those catches your eye 🛍️♥️

Is it too late for Happy New Year 😂 I think it probably is! 🫣

January has been full on - I started my new role at work & have been in the office over by St James’ Park 4+ days a week - plus I decided to run 31 miles in January for Children with Cancer UK 🏃🏻‍♀️ which I completed yesterday - hoorah (14th in the country thanks to my incessant pleas for donations, raised £653! 💰🎉) But sadly this has meant zero time for wreath making! 👎🏼

HOWEVER, I really wanted a cute Valentines Day wreath for my front door so I made sure TODAY WAS THE DAY, even if I had to endure a family swimming session this morning so I didn’t feel guilty plonking Oliver next to me with a film & some white chocolate buttons whilst Andy & Ava spent some daddy/daughter time together at the driving range ⛳️😂

I am soooo pleased to have finally made a new one! 🙌🏻 That matches my new nails too 💅🏼❤️ I’d love to make another for a friend who’s asked - plus maybe even a white/yellow springy one if I can juggle some evenings this week.. we’ll see! 🐣

Hope all is well - we are good 😉 Just living my life & filling it with everything I love - nothing more, nothing less! 💗🌎

2 0 2 5, Y O U ‘ V E B E E N A B L A S T

Happy New Year campers ✨ As the sun sets on 2025 I’m feeling very grateful & content with life 🥹

This year has been a good one ☺️ - we’ve made the most of time off; weekends away with the kids to Norfolk, the New Forest, Centre Parcs & Disneyland Paris 🎢 Such great memories made with lots of different friends - the school group weekender for 22 to Stamford with 12 kids under 10 🤪 A beautiful trip with a pal to Nice, France 🏖️ and being thoroughly spoilt by Andy & various friends for my 40th birthday 💝🧖🏻‍♀️

Health-wise, I reach my two year milestone of not drinking tomorrow morning ☕️ Lost 4 stone & am 3 dress sizes down (albeit about a stone put back on with festive indulgence!) but will be running 31 miles in Jan for Children with Cancer to kickstart the health kick 🏃🏻‍♀️ Lots of hard graft work wise that stretched what I thought was my capacity to the very limit but has ultimately paid off in the very end 🏢 I embark upon an exciting challenge starting my new Estate Director role on Monday! 🎉

Goals for 2026 = continue to pay off debts & start investing, focus on meaningful not busy work, be selfish with & plan my free time, travel more, read more, see more friends, spend quality time with family, continue to strengthen my faith, schedule date nights with Andy, spend time in nature, be more patient, & continue to practice gratitude every day 💗 - and if I can squeeze a wreath or two in then I’m really winning 🌿😉

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year - here’s to a 2026 full of peace, love, joy, laughter & positive energy ✌🏻

M E R R Y C H R I S T M A S

Just popping by to wish every single one of you a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year from me - wherever you are & whoever you’re with tomorrow & over the next few days, I hope you have a good one ♥️

We’re with my family tomorrow after FC presents & ones from us in the morning at ours - I can’t wait to see their faces 🥹 Then we’re hosting the in-laws on Boxing Day at ours (someone is celebrating a big 8-0 birthday!), hosting brunch at ours for school friends on Saturday morning, then church & picky bits lunch at my parents Sunday and then we’ll all collapse in a pile next week 😉

I’ve got another few minutes on my commute just now (whilst also listening to a Codie Sanchez podcast, drinking a flat white & participating in a group WhatsApp chat about weekend plans - multi tasking as its best eh 😜) to write a little post on here - HOW IS EVERYONE FEELING??? ‘All ready for Christmas?’ 😵‍💫 I am so lucky to have my home office purely as a dumping ground for empty decs boxes & presents I haven’t yet gone through nor wrapped! 🎁

I feel a lot slower this year.. we’re spending a fair bit of time at home & I’ve made sure we had some days of ‘nothing’ plans - it’s been much nicer doing crafty bits with Ava & chilling watching Strictly, going to bed early, seeing the big man, festive light walk, church nativity, prioritising sleep as far as possible, plus due to the new job in Jan (internal promotion - General Manager to Estate Director for a new site by St James’ Park, very excited) it’s finally been a little slower work-wise, so it’s been nice to actually have time to see colleagues for drinks / coffee / parties etc too! 🎊🪩

A L L C H A N G E

We’ve got our site team work Christmas party this evening & I can’t wait - since my last post where I was feeling a bit frazzled & overwhelmed I cancelled some plans & focussed on Ava & I doing Christmas crafts / watching Christmas movies / spending time in matching Christmas onsies / making mince pies / eating some pigs in blankets 😂 & now I’m feeling very grateful & excited for the next couple of weeks 🥳

I didn’t used to be able to cope with change very well & couldn’t let go easily, but physically clearing my desk & shleping all my crap to my new site this week has finalised in my head (heart will take slightly longer 🥹) that the new place is where I’ll be focusing on professionally & I’m actually really excited for the new challenge 🏙️😝

I’m genuinely really passionate about creating an environment where everyone feels included, valued & ultimately enjoys coming to work - knowing their role, striving for excellence, going the extra mile, with the reassurance that their efforts are recognised & rewarded 🥇 The last two years in my current position have taught me a lot & the team are very special to me 🥰 However, I’m ready to take up the new challenge, move out of the city (sad times, I love the square mile ha!) & see what positive changes I can make to this new estate, bring on 2026 💪🏻

Well that’s my end of year review done ha 😜 Whatever you’re fitting in & juggling & dealing with in the lead up to the big day then I’m sending lots of love & positivity to YOU - cancel what you don’t want to do & focus on the things you can control ✨

There were lots of 1st December box displays on the ‘gram this morning & felt instantly like I’d failed - even though I know it’s each to their own & every year I try not to go over the top with Christmas rituals (I have & will always refuse to do a bloody elf & I’m not sorry about that one little bit!!) - but it’s still tricky not to feel like you need to do what others are doing, isn’t it? 😕🎁

In the spirit of nodding towards the start of advent, I did do a little advent box (Ava’s old Christmas Eve box) with 25 Christmas books that I’d wrapped up, with some choccie coins in an M&S piggy biscuit tin next to it 🍫🏅 The whimsical & not particularly realistic idea in my head was that both children would lovingly chose a book together, pick out & unwrap a little chocolate coin each, settle down around me: earth mother, with a pinny & rosy cheeks from home baking all day (as if 😂) to read aloud said festive classic surrounded by twinkling lights & soft traditional carols courtesy of dear Alexa 🕯️📖

Well, Ava grabbed one of the books & started ripping the paper before I’d even had a chance to explain my ‘fun game’ - then she stormed off as I said Oliver could choose first.. but we got there in the end & Ava read the whole of book choice #1 - Mog’s Christmas - to Oliver (for all of 4 minutes before he got bored) & me with both chocolates eaten & Day 1 done & dusted 🥰

Whatever you do, or dont do - is up to you - make of it what you will! 🤩 But do it for you & yours & not everyone else ♥️ Comparison is the thief of joy after all 🫶🏼

I’ve written a few personal posts recently, so it’s about time I got back to the wreaths! 🌿 This one sold today before I even had a chance to list it on here - large n**e peonies, golden tone poinsettias, vintage pink roses, golden leaves, white roses & golden ball sprigs on an extra large royal green ivy base,
I’m calling this one ~TINA~ after the wonderful girly who bought it today 🥰

I was secretly hoping I could keep this one for Christmas, but hey, I will never turn down a sale! 🤑 That’s all the Christmas wreaths sold now so I am going to hopefully make a couple more sneaky ones on Friday when I’m next working from home & juggling all the things 😉
