We are relaunching and possibly rebranding the kitchen.

The wonderful Ally is going to be the kitchen whizz.

As much as I have loved serving food at The Devon and Cornwall, my daytime work commitments have proved equally as exciting.
So rather than stop food we have Ally.

Any questions then pop us a message or pop along to the pub on Wednesday when Ally and I will be raising a glass to the kitchen handover.

Woohoo, it's starting to feel like Spring.
WOWS will be back in the Kitchen soon. New menu ideas are currently floating around in my head!

Due to maintenance work in the kitchen we are currently unable to serve food at The Devon & Cornwall Inn . You're welcome to bring takeaways in during our closed evenings. The chip shop and Millbrook Indian are both open. We will update as soon as we know when the work has been completed.
Apologies and thank you for the continued support.
Keep your eyes peeled for our warmer weather meals coming soon (hopefully with warmer weather).

We're back in the kitchen at The Devon & Cornwall Inn from tomorrow (Thursday to Saturday).
It's still comfort food season so our Friday special this week is Chicken pie served with mash or chips and peas or beans.

Tonight (Saturday) the kitchen will close at 7pm.
*THE GOOD NEWS*
We are building our team and last night Lewis proved to be an absolute asset in the kitchen. We have more staff training tonight and then I start my new daytime job tomorrow morning.
The plan is to have a strong dynamic and share the responsibilities plus added input from our qualified chefs who are new to the team.
Thank you for your patience and support. Lots to look forward to at the local pub!

We've had a good start to 2026. A massive thank you to our customers who have braved the relentless rain and warmed up by the pub fire, ate, drank and helped to keep the community afloat (sorry about the pun).
We have lots of exciting ideas to cater for, music sessions plus other events throughout the year.
Here's some of them so far:
*Garden pizza oven. Choose your toppings and dance to your favourite bands in the fantastic beer garden.
*Sports on tv, hot dogs, burgers and chips specials.
*Tapas nights, authentic paella and side dishes served to eat socially.
Let us know if there's anything else that you think the village will enjoy.
I think I'm also outnumbered...we might need to be called Wizards of West Street. You'll get to meet the rest of the new team over the next month!
