CYNEFIN : A Welsh word having no direct English translation, describing a sense of place and a deep feeling of belonging.
A collaborative installation made of plants from the Welsh Rainforest (later returned to the soil!) from Afan Rainforest Alliance CIC .

This was the theme for the first Welsh Flower Festival Fran Phillips and it was so lovely to be asked to take part Cyfarthfa Castle by Kirsten Tanner | Wedding Florist and A joy to be working in Wales!

September was most definitely a busy month of flowers…. Charlotte Johnston Lilian Highmoor and myself; collectively Flowers at the House set up the festival at Strawberry Hill House along with our co-curators flowersonthe.edge

A lovely but hectic five days followed by a trip to my happy place - Gower in Wales.

Deeply honoured to be invited to take part in the very first celebration of floral artistry with thanks to Fran Phillips which was so beautiful and took part Cyfarthfa Castle

So thrilled to be working alongside Layla Robinson and Sarah Breese | Dried Floral Artist (amongst others I’ve yet to meet) at the seedling Welsh Flower Festival Fran Phillips The festival will be Cyfarthfa Castle and Sue Kent of BBC Gardeners' World fame is kindly the patron.

The last little flowery bits saved from Strawberry Hill House & Garden flower festival from Andy Heslop Over for another year….. Every year there are new lessons to be learned and this is a year no different from the others but British grown Flowers are a pillar of the festival.
