☀️ SUMMER COLOUR BOARD ☀️

Morning everyone!

According to the meteorological calendar today is the start of Summer so I thought I'd post a Summer colour board I created several years ago now. This is just one combination as the options are mathematically endless using different colours, patterns and textures.

My mini workshop in a box that I'm working on will take away the overwhelm from choosing colour and by the end of it you will find yourself gravitating towards one season with perhaps a secondary one.

I see so many people out there asking "What colour shall I paint my room", this creative workshop will pin down YOUR personal colour palette and YOUR personal style, not anybody else's.

Keep your eyes peeled for my post tomorrow as it will be an example of what you will get through the post, what you will create, and the cost of the workshop 👀

💕 FUN FACT FRIDAY 💕

Morning everyone 👋

I absolutely love my line dancing classes and am very pleased with my new without tags Vinted find. It couldn’t match some of the colours from my personal colour analysis any better if it tried 😀

Hope you all have a lovely weekend 😊

Morning everyone 👋

Further to my previous post and video, the easiest way to pin down our personal colour palette and style is to connect colours and patterns to how we want our space to feel. The images below are just a few items of what I have in my own home.

If I were to describe my own home in three words they would have to be FUN, BOLD and ECLECTIC.

In my Mini Workshop in a Box that I'm putting together one of the tasks is to choose words from a given list on how you want your space to feel, which will be the starting point for choosing your colours and patterns.

On Tuesday I'll be sharing the cost of this workshop and my mood board that I created which was the starting point for my home.

Hi everyone 👋

Do you want to add colour to your home but don't know where to start? In this mini workshop you'll go through a step by step process with creative exercises and delve deeper into colour to pin down the colour palette that reflects YOUR personality and YOUR style.

I had lots of really lovely comments regarding my mini workshops where several of you said that you wish you lived nearer as you'd love to do it. I'm really excited to say that it will now be available for you to do at home and all the items needed for it will be delivered in a slimline box designed to fit through a letterbox.

There will also be the opportunity to have a 30 minute video call with me should you wish to discuss your mood board you've created.

The box will include:

An A4 size 1250 micron white mountboard
A paint colour chart of your choice from various brands
An interiors magazine of your choice from various brands
A workbook with creative exercises to carry out

You'll produce a mood board of feelings, and paint colours and images that you are drawn to, so whether you love neutrals, lights, darks, bolds, brights, pastels and more, it will give you the confidence to make choices going forward in your home. All that you need to provide is a glue stick and a pair of scissors.

On Tuesday I will post the finer details like cost, and also share mine that I created that took away the overwhelm when I started designing my own home.

If you've got any questions then please email me on [email protected]

I look forward to hearing from you 😊

A first for me, thought it was only right that I should do a video as I’ve never done one 🤦‍♀️ I’ll be listing everything that it entails on tomorrow’s post 😊

🌹 ROSE COLOUR BOARD 🌹

Morning everyone and hope you're enjoying the sunshine!

Roses are among the world's oldest grown plants with a history dating back 35 million years. They belong to the Rosaceae family, have edible petals, and are notably linked to the UK serving as the official national emblem of England.

Today's colour board features one of my favourite rose wallpapers which is bold with the colours of Spring.

Wallpaper - Chelsea by Sanderson in the rhodera/papavera colourway at Wallpaper Direct
Fabric - Harbour Stripe cotton in the rose colourway by Tori Murphy
Cushion - Silk Ikat in blue by Birdie Fortescue
Small Armchair - Bluebell in Dusty Rose cotton matt velvet

Farrow & Ball Tailor Tack, a light pink - For ceiling and door
Farrow & Ball Folly Green, a strong but soothing green - By using it as a complementary accent colour on the skirting and architrave will add interest but it won't be overpowering

🙂 TABLE LAMPS 🙂

Morning everyone!

A colourful table lamp can be a great starting point for a room scheme and in these examples they all include various colours, shape, pattern, scale, material, texture and mood.

Farrow & Ball Calamine - A delicate pink. This glass lamp along with its confetti pattern brings warm ambient light and the bedside table's legs draw the green out from it.
Lamp Habitat
Bedside Table La Redoute.

Dulux Heritage Midnight Teal - A deep and seductive blue green. This striking lamp with its stripes and wooden bobbin base brings a striking look to the room and the armchair draws the pink out from it.

Farrow & Ball Sap Green - A true earthy olive green. This lamp with its nasturtium shade and ceramic base gives the room a retro feel and the shelf adds a fun touch and draws the pink out from it.
Lamp Winter's Moon
Shelf Bisley

Johstone's Trade Redrock Falls - A mid-tone muted orange which is perfect for a creative space. This fabric lamp with a touch of brass placed on a cupboard/filing cabinet will create a statement as opposed to being used as a task light, and by having a black chair will avoid the space becoming overpowering.
