October is here in full swing: frosty mornings and that unmistakable smell of woodsmoke in the air. As we settle into one of our favourite seasons, we’ve been gathering a few interiors we’ve particularly loved so far.
1. Annabel Grimshaw Interior Design A beautifully warm brown backdrop, layered with prints, plates and patterns throughout. There’s something wonderfully enveloping about this room, a space made for long winter evenings. Photographed by Pete Helme.
2. Tess Newall x VOLGA LINEN A rather beautiful take on a time-honoured craft. These richly textured linen lampshades feature Tess Newall’s Trellis Cross Stitch Braid, hand-stitched onto pure linen and finished with a softly pleated shade. Available in Claret and Ivory, they’re a lovely way to bring a little warmth and texture to a room.
3. Vanrenen Hanbury Ltd. A wonderful former farmhouse in Wiltshire, filled with bespoke joinery and thoughtfully sourced antiques. We particularly love the boot room: practical, characterful and a room more important than ever when autumn arrives.
4. Architectural Digest A wonderfully historic South West home, designed by Max Rollitt, with deep-set window seats, cosy reading corners, woven textures and floral textiles. Nothing feels too new or too perfect; instead, the rooms have that wonderful sense of having been collected and lived with over time. Photographed by Christopher Horwood.
5. Kirsten Ivors A little farmhouse in rural Tipperary, and a constant source of inspiration for country living. Its autumnal kitchen is overflowing with abundance, traditional furniture alongside sunny yellows and touches of red, creating exactly the sort of warm, relaxed room designed for slow sundays.
We are brimming to see what the rest of the season has to offer, what are some of your favourites from the Autumn so far?
