I'll be at the Elgiva next Saturday. Great venue, wonderful hand crafted products and a great day for Christmas shopping

It's beginning to look a lot like Craft Fair... Just a week to go until our fantabulous Chiltern Made Craft Fair next Saturday. One of the stallholders will be featured exhibitor number 27 Kiss My Hide.

Silke Stahl has been working with leather for approximately 17 years making bags, purses, jewellery and belts.

She has also undertaken commissions and repairs, restoring much loved items.

Leather is a long lasting material which has been used for centuries and Silke uses different types of leather depending on the product.

She uses both hand sewing techniques as well as machine sewing, and although Silke lives in Chesham, work can be further afield.

Think I''ve kept you waiting long enough.

Here it is! I enjoyed making this although did take 8 1/2 hours from start to finish.

Natural veg tan, dyed red, and all hand sewn.
