It’s nearly time for my agent annual showcase of BRAND NEW work by all of her artists, created exclusively for Out of the Blue 2026 💙

Here’s a little peek at what I’ve been working on and I’m really looking forward to sharing more with you…the themes and her inspiring briefs about nature and light have been right up my street!✨🌿🌸

JUNE 🌹 Birth bird: Dove. Birth flowers: Rose and honeysuckle. Another in my birth flowers and birth birds drawing series. It’s very apt that this week the wild dog roses and honeysuckle are blooming in the hedgerows and my favourite garden rose is popping out her peachy pink and white flowers all over 🧡💞🤍 It seems to be a good year for roses, so many beauties everywhere!

💚MAY💚 Seeing as we are half way through, thought it about time I posted this month’s birth flowers and bird drawing! A sweet Nightingale, Lily of the Valley and Hawthorn.
May is also my middle name and mine, my mum’s and my aunt’s birthday month ✨ It also happens to be my favourite time of year with all of the hedgerow froth and flowers bursting open in the garden 🌸

I saw a Common Blue butterfly flitting across my garden a couple of days ago…is it early for them?

I didn’t even know we had them here until a few years ago, and since then I have seen more and more each Spring and Summer. I’m wondering if that is a noticing thing (most likely) or if numbers are Increasing (I hope so!)

Either way, what a treat it is to spot one! 🦋

Two original paintings on paper have found a lovely new home recently and don’t they look good in their matching outfits?
Framed with a dark green frame and ice blue and white double mount…I love choosing frames for paintings and prints!
They were inspired by the rock pools on our local beaches here in Cornwall, little underwater worlds full of creatures and treasures 🐚🌊 All of the photographs were taken there. And yes, I’m a grown woman and I still always have pockets full of shells and sea glass 🤓🩵

Sea views 🌊🌞 A long time ago my husband and I lived in a tiny weeny annexe in a fishing village and if we craned our necks around the bay window we could see the sea! 🌅

In the years since, we traded that sea glimpse for green fields not far from that little fishing village and are now lucky enough to live in a converted barn with space for our family.

Because we can’t see the sea from our home I decided to paint my own sea view, and the original painting sits framed on top of my microwave, the frame hung with bits and pieces my children have made over the years ✨

I also have it available as a print should you want your own sea view too!

All of the photographs here were taken locally. I adore the sea, it is endless inspiration to me 🌊🩵💙

Calling all butterfly lovers 🦋 I have started seeing butterflies out and about here, mainly peacock butterflies so far and seeing them reminded me that I have a new set of postcards for you!

They are all prints of the original drawings which I made last spring and summer when I spotted these little chaps flitting about the garden.

The set features some of our most beloved British butterflies: Red Admiral, Orange Tip, Speckled Brown, Cabbage White, Meadow Brown and Peacock…All ready to be sent to friends or displayed as a mini art collection! ✨
