A hallway that works hard, but still feels like part of the home ✨
I’ve been playing around with this hallway scheme and I’m slightly obsessed with the combination of deep plum, warm brass, natural timber and woven textures.
The starting point was the existing stone floor — rather than trying to fight it, I wanted to bring out all those warm, earthy tones and make the space feel intentional.
On one side, a simple bench with layered cushions, a vintage-style rug, botanical artwork and a large brass-framed mirror creates a softer, more welcoming moment.
And opposite? Proper storage.
Full-height cabinetry in the same deep plum, with brass hardware and woven baskets for all the everyday things that tend to land in a hallway — shoes, bags, hats, school stuff… basically life. 😂
I love the contrast between the tailored cabinetry and the more relaxed, collected feel of the bench side.
Because a hallway doesn’t just need to look good. It needs to work hard too.
