Ground floor transformation complete by Will and Joe this week!

From tired, dated floorboards to a stunning herringbone engineered wood floor from — this full ground floor has been completely transformed. 🤎

As always, the finished floor is only as good as the preparation underneath it. We carried out extensive subfloor preparation, including 6mm flooring-grade plywood and F 1200 smoothing compound, creating a perfectly flat, stable foundation for the new engineered timber.

The customer now has abeautifully crafted floor that combines premium materials with meticulous installation.

Another ground floor brought back to life, working with who have installed the stunning kitchen and completed renovation works throughout the property. A pleasure to work with!

Something a little bit different this week 🙌

This customer has a rather large loft room and wanted to create some separation between the bedroom area and dressing area.

We have installed cormarcarpets Sensations in colour icing sugar to the bedroom area and created a distinguished look to the dressing area using onefloreurope Walnut Oak LVT.

All tied together using black threshold strips to match the decor, we think this looks stunning!

🚀 A project we’re incredibly proud to be part of! 💙🤍

We’re delighted to announce our partnership with Bristol Rovers Football Club! ⚽

It was a privilege to complete the club’s brand-new executive lounge using vinyl, installed with smoothing compounds and adhesives, all supplied by our friends .

We also had the pleasure of transforming the Directors’ Lounge with premium carpet tiles, creating a smart, durable, and welcoming space that perfectly complements the club’s facilities.

As part of this exciting partnership, you’ll also spot our advertising board on the South Stand at The Memorial Stadium this season! 🙌

Another project completed in partnership with our friends at MJ Building! 👏

For this installation, we applied two coats of F Ball 1600 smoothing compound to encapsulate the underfloor heating, meeting the manufacturer's specifications.

We then installed 60m² of Oneflor Royal Oak Natural herringbone flooring, and the finished result looks fantastic in this space!

This project started with an old, tired subfloor that needed a complete refresh. ✨

We installed 6mm flooring-grade plywood to provide a smooth, solid base before fitting Altro Contrax safety flooring in Spring Beige.

The floor was fully capped, coved and professionally hot welded throughout, creating a seamless, watertight finish that not only looks great but is built to last.

The completed installation fully meets food safety and hygiene regulations, providing a durable, easy-to-clean surface that's perfect for commercial environments.

✨ Premium Carpet Installation Completed ✨

We're delighted to showcase this recent installation completed by The Floor Smith for Bedstone Developments in nearby Biddlestone.

This project involved fitting a beautiful carpet from Unnatural Flooring throughout the staircase, landing and bedroom areas, delivering a seamless finish that complements the property's modern interior.

To ensure the highest standard of installation and long-term performance, we used Barefoot Underlay, providing exceptional comfort underfoot while enhancing the carpet's overall feel and durability. The carpet was installed using a double-stick method, combining F. Ball F3 Adhesive and tackifier to create a secure, stable fit that minimises movement and helps maintain the carpet's appearance for years to come.

Particular attention was given to the staircase, where precise fitting and pattern alignment were essential to achieve a crisp, professional finish. The result is a beautifully installed floor covering that not only looks fantastic but is built to withstand everyday use.

Project spotlight - Avenue Road, Frome 🛠️

Two bedrooms, landing and stairs fitted in the stunning cormarcarpets Zenith range in Polar White — a timeless neutral that brings a bright, luxurious feel throughout the home.

Known for its dense pile, softness underfoot and long-lasting durability, the Zenith collection is the perfect blend of comfort and practicality.

Finished with solid oak thresholds for a clean, high-end contrast, this installation was all about the finer details.

The staircase was the standout feature of this project. Due to the narrow shape of the stairs, the customer wanted something a little different from a traditional runner, so we custom-made semi-circle tread pads to create a softer, more contemporary finish while keeping the design practical and unique.
