A bouquet with a little bit of romance... and a lot of personality!🌸💗

Oh, I do love a bouquet that has a bit of everything, and this one has well and truly stolen my heart!🥰

Soft pink roses, vibrant hot pinks and raspberry-red roses, elegant lilies waiting to unfurl and delicate little clouds of gypsophila, all wrapped in simple, natural kraft paper.

Romantic? Absolutely. Feminine? Of course. A little bit dramatic? Well... she does have lilies making a grand entrance!🤣🌷

There's something about this combination of colours that makes me smile. It's joyful, full of warmth, and just the right amount of bold, while still feeling soft and pretty.

And I particularly love those lily buds. They're not quite ready to show off just yet, but over the coming days they'll slowly open and reveal their beauty. A little bit of flower magic that keeps on giving🌿💕

I think this is the sort of bouquet that says "you're special to me" without needing to write a long, soppy message in a card (although, personally, I'm never one to underestimate the power of a good sentimental moment!🥺❤️)

And honestly, I'm here for it!

3 YEARS OF PETALS & POSIES BY KATIE 🤍🌸

I honestly can’t believe I’m writing this, but today marks 3 whole years of Petals & Posies by Katie🥹💐

Three years ago, I started this little business with a dream, a love for flowers and a hope that I could build something of my own. I don’t think the Katie who started this journey could have imagined where I’d be today, and looking back, I feel a real mixture of emotions.

Petals & Posies means so much more to me than just flowers❤️ After losing my dad, I needed something positive to put my heart into, something that gave me a purpose & something I could work towards. Starting this business gave me that. There have been so many times when I’ve wished Dad was here to see what I’m doing, to hear all about my little wins and to see how far I’ve come. I hope, more than anything, that I’m making him proud. I carry him with me in everything I do, and I think a little piece of him will always be woven into this business🤍

It hasn’t always been easy. There have been nerves, doubts, quiet periods, challenges and plenty of learning along the way. But there have also been some really special moments that have reminded me exactly why I started. From creating bouquets for birthdays & celebrations, to being trusted with wedding flowers & flowers to say goodbye to loved ones, it’s such a privilege to be able to do something I love & be a small part of people’s most important moments.

I’m still learning, still growing and still figuring it all out, but I’m so proud of myself for giving this a go and continuing to show up for something that means so much to me. 🌿

My little dream is to one day make floristry my full-time career, and although I don’t know exactly what the future holds, I know I want to keep working towards it. Three years in, I still get excited about flowers, choosing colours, putting different stems together and seeing a bouquet come to life. I really hope that never changes. 🌷

To everyone who has ordered from me, recommended me to a friend, shared a post, sent me a kind message or supported my little business in any way, thank you, from the bottom of my heart. Every single order means more than you probably realise, & I genuinely wouldn’t be here celebrating three years without you.

Being a small, independent florist means putting a lot of yourself into what you do, and I put so much love into every arrangement that leaves my hands. Knowing that my flowers are going into someone’s home, being given to someone special or helping someone through a difficult time is something I’ll never take for granted. 🤍

So here’s to three years of flowers, learning, growing, taking chances and believing in a little dream. And here’s to the next chapter, whatever that may bring. 🌸

A little drama, a whole lot of love❤️

Some flowers whisper... and some walk into the room and declare their love🌹✨

This beauty? She's definitely the second kind❤️

Rich, velvety reds, deep burgundy chrysanthemums, delicate peachy-pink roses and clouds of gypsophila, with a little heart woven through the middle. Finished with pearlescent pink and bold purple wrapping, she's romantic, a little glamorous and absolutely unapologatetic about it❤️

And honestly? I think there's something rather wonderful about loving things wholeheartedly. Life can be tough, we all have our battles, and sometimes we spend so much time being strong for everyone else that we forget to show a little love, too.

That's what I love about flowers. They can say I love you, im thinking of you, im proud of you or simply you matter to me when words don't quite feel enough🌹

🌿A little flower care love, too! Want to keep your blooms looking beautiful for longer? Save these 5 simple tips for when your next bouquet comes home:

🌸01. Let them breathe - Remove the wrapping and ribbons so your flowers have room to settle.

💧02. Fresh cut, fresh drink - trim 1-2cm off the stems at an angle and place them in a clean vase of fresh, room-temperature water.

🏡03. Keep them cool - choose a cool spot away from direct sunlight, radiators and droughts.

✨04. Keep things fresh - Change the water daily or every other day, clean your vase and remove any leaves sitting below the waterline.

🍎05. Give them space - Keep flowers away from ripening fruit which releases ethylene which can shorten their vase life.

A little care goes a long way, and your flowers will thank you for it🌿

A little bit of drama. A lot of love. And absolutely no permission needed🍷❤️

Oh, she is a bit of a show off, isn't she?😍

Deep, velvety reds. Rich burgundy blooms. Little peachy-pink roses. Clouds of delicate gypsophila, dancing into an S and a heart. A glittery red heart, a bright red ribbon and layers of gorgeous purple and pearlescent wrapping catching the light.

Romantic? Absolutely. Dramatic? Without apology. Subtle? Darling, not today❤️

This is the sort of bouquet that doesn't just enter a room. She makes an entrance.

And whilst we're here, let's have a little chat about flowers, shall we? Because I've heard ALL the excuses...

Here's the thing. I don't make flowers because life is always pretty. It isn't, is it?
