First time I’ve been able to get back on the lathe in what feels like ages. A lovely grained small dish. (Opening is about 4’’, but widens and stands 2’’ tall). Finished with sealer then High Gloss wax on the outside. Inside finished with Citrus burnishing oil and a coat of HS Original. Then a final buffing once all was cured and dry.

Oak 4 armed necklace stand. Finished with microcrystalline wax and a final buffing on buffing wheels. My first attempt at a stand like this having been asked whether it was something I could do by a work colleague. Finally got round to taking some pics of this. Turned bits at a time when I could get time in the workshop.

6’’/6’’ oak square rimmed dish with gentle ‘wings’. Inside finished with a couple of coats of citrus burnishing oil and allowed to cure. Remainder buffed on the buffing system and finished with a coat of carnuba wax.

Oak 10’’ pedestal platter. Underside of the platter ebonised with , and with a gloss wax finish, the face of the platter was finished with citrus burnishing oil (2 coats) so will be food safe and should be water resistant. . Base finished with woodwax22 and overcoated with microcrystalline wax. Stand had friction polish and a microcrystalline wax overcoat.
