Making the Seigaiha Limited Edition —

The bases are starting to stack up.

Each one is CNC machined from oak, with the solid brass pen rest cut, rounded and fitted individually.

Seeing them together like this is one of those satisfying points in a project where all the separate processes finally start looking like a collection.

Next, the printed ink pot bodies can finally meet their bases.

The last ever headphone stand in this design is heading out of the workshop very soon. It’s a somber moment to realise that the incredible company which made the leather pieces for these stands was over 140 years old before they ceased to exist.

Small details, cut slowly.

A chamfer forming on oak, followed by the final engraving — simple steps, but the ones that define the finished piece.
