It’s all about the little things... 🐚

At House of Harper, we believe the difference between a good space and a truly great one, is often found in the details.

It’s the shower that feels exactly right and the USB port in exactly the right place.

Or the shelving designed around how you actually live, alongside the perfectly integrated LED lighting.

What about the joinery, hardware, switches, sockets and storage that have all been thought about long before the room is finished?

They might seem like little things, but they’re the things that make a space feel considered, intuitive and completely yours - making your home work for you and your everyday living 🫧

Because for us, interior design isn’t just about creating the big moments. It’s about looking at every element of a space and asking: how can this work better, look better and feel better?

That’s the House of Harper approach.

Big ideas. Beautiful spaces. Every little thing considered ✨

When your clients’ vision comes to life… 🪄💐

From bare bones to utterly beautiful, this transformation required a rip-out of the existing space and a replacement kitchen reflecting our clients love of pattern + colour. 🎨 The brief centred on a bright, quirky kitchen aesthetic with traditional farmhouse elements, all in keeping with the uniqueness of the property. All this was achieved by incorporating our clients personal preferences; reed green Nobilia Cascada doors, floral wallpaper, flagstone flooring, a new swoonworthy Aga and a super swanky larder from our clients’ wish-list!

Pewter handles provided a lovely contrast alongside the gorgeous green and classic elegant glass pendants provided a captivating focal point. So many wonderful details + design ideas came together for this final look.

What’s your favourite part? 📝 Comment and let us know.

We thought it was finally time to introduce the master's behind the craft 👋🏼

Meet (some of) the faces behind House of Harper - the people who make the magic happen long before a finished space ever makes it onto your feed.

We’re a team made up of very different skills, roles and personalities, but with one thing in common: a slightly obsessive attention to detail and a love for creating beautiful interiors.

This particular team photo was taken at Rhian and Ricky's wedding, which seemed like as good an opportunity as any to get some of us in front of the camera for once! 📸

This is by no means the whole House of Harper team - there are plenty more brilliant people behind the scenes who couldn’t squeeze into this particular shot by the fabulous Pixie Jayne Dovey

Colour Palette Diaries | Edition 01 ✨🎨🖌️

We’re kicking off our new series with the beautiful downstairs cloakroom from our ‘Kinnersley House’ project.

The existing space required a complete refresh, so we decided to embrace the size of the room rather than shy away from it - creating a rich and characterful scheme using deep navy, warm earthy tones and soft neutrals.

We love how the combination of colours, patterns and carefully chosen details totally transformed the feel of this space. It’s a great reminder that even the smallest room in the house deserves a little design attention!

Would you embrace a darker palette in a smaller room? Let us know in the comments 🫶

Fresh, neutral and effortlessly elegant 🤍🕊️✨this bespoke kitchen project is one of our all-time favourites. Brand new integrated cooking & kitchen appliances, custom shelving for cleverly concealing cleaning and kitchen essentials, (the boiler included) and a timeless scheme loaded with antique brass, gorgeous Little Greene ‘French Grey’ cabinetry, warm oak floors and glacier quartz.

With stacked appliances and an L-shaped island layout, this new kitchen is roomy and defined, without negotiating on space. An open plan environment for entertaining and enjoying - perfect for our lovely clients.

🔔 A special mention for the beautiful breakfast bar — the ogee edge profile and curved ends bring such an elevated level of elegance and luxury to the final completion. The perfect finishing touch.
