🍂 This week’s Wednesday Wander took me through damp woodland, over a carpet of beech leaves and past mossy roots. 🍄🌿
There were fungi everywhere once I started looking properly, a few unexpected little finds, and somewhere along the way a new idea began to take shape…

New today — Little Frog Brooches 🐸
Apparently, the frogs have decided sitting politely on shelves isn’t enough anymore.
Now they’d quite like to come out with you.
Each little frog brooch is knitted by me here in Shropshire, so no two are quite the same — available from my Ironbridge stand now. Ironbridge.AAC New

A couple of new characters have joined Bogbean down at my Ironbridge stand this morning. 🐸🌿
We have Rowan, a little woodland frog who’s happiest among the trees, the mossy roots and the quiet green places.
And we also have Elsie, who carries a little heart hug in her pocket, just in case anyone needs one. 💜
Bogbean looks quite pleased to have the company… but he’s not giving up his rocking chair for anyone.🐸
All these quirky little characters are made by hand by me here in Shropshire and, as always, no two are ever quite the same.

It’s not their birthday.
It’s not their anniversary.
And actually, there’s no sensible reason at all. 🥰
Just a little box of froggy joy, sent through the post because someone you love could do with finding three tiny little faces looking back at them.
Handmade in Shropshire, each little frog is slightly different — three little froglets from the same pond, going out into the world together.
Sometimes “I thought this would make you smile” is reason enough. 🐸🌿

This weeks Wednesday wander is now up on substack, somehow it turned into rock pools, squeaky sand, wandering thoughts and a little reminder that sometimes the best ideas arrive when you stop chasing them. 💕

Sometimes, it's hard to know the right thing to say.

Sometimes, somebody you care about is having a difficult time, and you just want them to know you’re thinking of them.

That’s what these little frogs are for...

A small handmade friend tucked into a box and sent through the post, simply to say “you’re loved, and you’re not on your own.”

One of my lovely customers recently left this review after Freddie arrived through her letterbox:

“I just love Freddie… he fits in my handbag to remind me that I’m loved.”

And I think that probably says it better than I ever could. 🥰

One shell became two, two became several, and before long I was carrying home a little collection.
There were scallop shells in the softest faded pinks, smooth white pieces worn by the sea, and those little grey wish stones with the pale stripe running all the way round them.

I always think half the pleasure is looking properly — the things you’d miss completely if you were in a hurry.
